  • Publication number: 20100238141
Abstract: A projection system includes a screen, a projection display apparatus for projecting a video image on the screen, and a mount base provided below a projection surface of the screen, for carrying a subject on its upper surface. The projection display apparatus is mechanically coupled to the screen such that video image light from the projection display apparatus is displayed on the screen. Projection display apparatus includes a light source, an imaging portion including the upper surface of the mount base at least in an imaging area, a light modulation portion for modulating light from the light source to generate the video image light based on an input video image or a video image picked up by the imaging portion, and a projection portion for projecting the video image light generated by the light modulation portion.

  • Patent number: 5248917
Abstract: A flat fluorescent lamp comprises a flat glass container formed by a front glass panel, a rear glass panel and glass frames, a phosphor coating formed along the inner surface of the front glass panel, an anode disposed in the vicinity of the phosphor coating, a plurality of linear cathodes arranged in parallel to the anode and supported by support members, and at least one mesh electrode disposed between the anode and the cathodes The intensity of light of the lamp is adjusted by applying a pulse voltage to the mesh electrode.

  • Patent number: 5126628
Abstract: A flat display includes a front panel having a fluorescent screen on its rear side, a rear panel defining a flat space with the front panel, linear filament cathodes arranged close to the rear panel, and an address electrode plate having a multiplicity of apertures and disposed close to the front panel. The rear panel is formed on its inner surface with spacer ridges each extending on each side of each filament cathode therealong and having a height to reach the address electrode plate. The spacer ridges give the flat display improved strength against pressure.

  • Patent number: 4764706
Abstract: A flat CRT having a phosphor screen inclined with respect to the center axis of an electron beam and formed by applying phosphors to the inner surface of a tube wall. The tube inner surface is defined by rotating a plurality of logarithmic spiral curves having a constant angle of incidence and present in the x-y plane of a polar coordinate system in which the deflection center of the electron beam is its origin, the center axis extends through the origin and serves as the x-axis, and the y-axis extends through the origin and intersects the x-axis at right angles therewith. The spiral curves are rotated about the y-axis each through a specified angle to obtain a group of logarithmic curves defining the tube inner surface.

  • Patent number: 4720655
Abstract: A flat color CRT having a phosphor screen comprises red, green and, blue primary phosphor color stripes arranged at a spacing, and phosphor index stripes arranged in some of the spaces between the phosphor color stripes in a definite relation thereto. A black nonluminescent substance is provided between the phosphor index stripes and positioned at least in the spaces between the phosphor color stripes, and a metallic layer of sufficient thickness formed on the inner side of a tube panel and positioned in a corresponding relationship to the phosphor color stripes.

  • Patent number: 4654559
Abstract: A flat color CRT wherein a single beam emitted from an electron gun scans the inner surface of a tube wall and which includes a phosphor screen formed on the walls inner surface. The phosphor screen comprises a nonluminescent substance and phosphor index stripes with the substance interposed between the stripes. Red, green, blue primary phosphor color stripes have a sufficient thickness and are arranged repeatedly on the nonluminescent substance at a spacing in a definite relation to the phosphor index stripes.
