  • Patent number: 8616452
Abstract: Provided is a sensor module capable of ensuring security of data in which card data output from a magnet head is not stolen by a third party. In a sensor module 10A, a front-end portion of a flexible substrate 13 to which a connection terminal, a resistive element, an A/D conversion chip, and a digital IC are attached is accommodated in a housing 11 with a predetermined capacity in a state of being folded into four in one direction and the connection terminal, the resistive element, the A/D conversion chip, and the digital IC are fixed to the housing 11 together with the front-end portion of the flexible substrate 13 by means of epoxy resin filled in the housing 11.

  • Patent number: 7997488
Abstract: There is provided a magnetic card reader system in which a magnetic head and a computer can determine mutual validity and unauthorized duplication of the magnetic card can be prevented. In a magnetic card reader system 10, a computer 13 and a microprocessor perform authentication of each other and determine that a mutual authentication result obtained based on mutual authentication is valid, then the microprocessor encrypts a digital signal and transmits the encrypted digital signal to the computer 13, and the computer 13 decodes the encrypted digital signal.

  • Publication number: 20100265617
Abstract: To provide a magnetic head provided with a microprocessor capable of storing a firmware downloaded from an external server. The magnetic head has a core which is provided with a coil for converting data stored in a magnetic card to analog signals, an A/D conversion chip which is connected to the core to convert the analog signals to digital signals, and the microprocessor which is connected to the A/D conversion chip. The processor has a firmware storage means. When the firmware which controls its arithmetic/storage functions and controls an external hardware is downloaded from the external server (11) to the magnetic head, the firmware storage means stores the firmware.
