  • Patent number: 5182748
Abstract: An X.25 protocol apparatus can communicate with another X.25 apparatus or a X.32 apparatus through a telephone network, an ISDN network, or a PBX network, by attaching protocol conversion system to the X.25 apparatus. The conversion system has a pair of signal identification portions (1, 6) for separating a receive packet to a data packet and a control packet, a call process portion (3, 12) for dial signal process, and an address table (4) and a packet edition portion (5) for address conversion of a control packet. A data packet is forwarded from one signal identification portion to another signal identification portion through direct path (53). A control packet is forwarded to a control packet identification portion (2) for control process which includes dial signal process, address conversion, and protocol sequences. This system is applicable to couple a data communication network which has a X.32 correspondence portion to another data communication network.

  • Patent number: 5157921
Abstract: The invention provides a method for accurately and precisely measuring a converted rate of a catalyst for HC/CO/NOx, NOx, and HC/CO and detecting deterioration using two air/fuel ratio sensors disposed on the upstream and downstream sides of the catalyst. The converted rate of the catalyst is determined based on a predetermined relationship between the mean converted rate and a reduction ratio of output amplitudes of the downstream sensor to the upstream sensor. The catalyst is determined to be deteriorating when the reduction ratio becomes less than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5151796
Abstract: Image reading apparatus having a D/A converter with a controllable output includes a light source for illuminating an original image. A reading device is provided for photoelectrically reading the original image illuminated by the light source and generating an analog image signal. A D/A converter is provided having a digital input terminal, an analog output terminal, and a reference terminal. The analog image signal generated from the reading device is applied to the reference terminal. The D/A converter attenuates the level of the analog image signal applied to the reference terminal based on a damping factor corresponding to the digital data applied to the digital input terminal. The thus-attenuated analog image signal is then output to the analog output terminal. An amplifier is provided for amplifying the attenuated analog image signal output from the analog output terminal of the D/A converter.

  • Patent number: 4417213
Abstract: A data regenerative system adapted to receive data signals transmitted with the Non-Return-to-Zero mode comprises a comparator for comparing the voltage level of the received data with a variable threshold to generate a digital comparator output. D-type flip-flops are arranged to receive the comparator output to generate first and second pulses respectively in response to a data strobe clock pulse. The time difference between the first and second pulses is detected to generate an error voltage which is applied to the comparator as the variable threshold to keep the crossing points of the eye pattern of the received signal constantly aligned on the threshold level.
