    Abstract: A liquid container includes a housing, a flexible film, a liquid reservoir configured to directly store liquid therein and defined by the housing on one side and the flexible film on the other side, a liquid supply port provided in the liquid reservoir and configured to supply liquid to a recording head, and an overhang protruding from the housing and located in the liquid reservoir and substantially near the liquid supply port. The absorbing member is configured to absorb the inertial force of liquid, the inertial force being generated in liquid in the liquid reservoir by an external force applied to the housing.

    Abstract: An ink jet cartridge including a case, in which the bottom portion where an ink jet recording head is disposed projects, and a lid for covering the top surface thereof. In an ink containing chamber defined by the these case and the lid, there is provided an absorber. The lid is configured so that ribs provided directly over the projecting bottom are higher than the other ribs, and so that the lid can be used for different types of cartridge. In a black cartridge, the pertinent ribs perform the function of effectively bringing the absorber into pressure contact with an ink introducing section. In a color cartridge, the pertinent ribs perform the function of restraining the height of the top surface of the absorber disposed on the projecting bottom portion to a position lower than that of the top surface of each of the other absorbers.

The control circuit is provided with a timer which stores a warming-time to maintain the driving battery in a warmed-up condition via the heater after the car ignition switch has been turned off. During the warming-time, which is until the timer times-out with the ignition switch turned to the off state, the control circuit controls power to the heater to maintain the driving battery in a warmed-up condition.

    Abstract: High purity acetylene gas is provided by discharging high purity acetylene gas from a metallic bomb in which a porous material to accommodate high purity acetylene gas and a solvent to selectively dissolve the acetylene gas are charged and passing the gas through an adsorber containing an adsorbent for adsorbing the solvent contained in the gas. Superfine powders of impurities are removed by passing the gas through a filter. Acetylene is purified by adsorbing acetylene into a solvent having a temperature of -20.degree. to -81.8.degree. C. in an absorbing tower, stripping the acetylene from the solvent at a temperature of -10.degree. to +20.degree. C. in a stripping tower and passing the stripped acetylene through a packed bed filled with a porous material for removing impurities from the acetylene and through a filter for removing superfine powders of impurities. The inside of a bomb for dissolved acetylene is purified by heating the bomb and evacuating the bomb.
