  • Publication number: 20230374996
Abstract: A vehicle compressor component includes an aluminum alloy material made by hot-extruding. The aluminum alloy material has a chemical composition consisting of Fe: 5.0% to 9.0% by mass, Mg: 0.7% to 3.0% by mass, V: 0.1% to 3.0% by mass, Mo: 0.1% to 3.0% by mass, Zr: 0.1% to 2.0% by mass, Ti: 0.02% to 2.0% by mass, and balance Al and unavoidable impurities. The aluminum alloy material has a density of 2.96 g/cm3 or more. A method for manufacturing the vehicle compressor component includes: compacting aluminum alloy powders having the chemical composition to prepare a compact; hot-extruding the compact to make an aluminum alloy material; and forming the aluminum alloy material into a desired shape.

  • Patent number: 5541384
Abstract: A method of joining a ball member to an end of a cylindrical matrix plunger body by resistance welding thereby to make a plunger for use in a directional control valve for controlling fluid communication in said valve is disclosed. A resistance welder for the method has a pair of electrodes. The ball member is placed in contact with a conical recess within the matrix plunger body and with a conforming surface of one of said electrodes so as to form a circular first contact between the ball member and the matrix plunger body and a spherical second contact between the ball member and the one electrode such that electrical contact resistance at the first contact is greater than that at the second contact. Then, an electric current at a constant rate flows for a controlled period of time through the first and second contacts with the ball member which is kept in contact with the matrix plunger body under pressure by the electrode.

  • Patent number: 5230756
Abstract: In forming a weld bead of pure copper on a ferroalloy base material by laying a powder of copper and melting the powder by a high density energy source such as laser beams, TIG arc or electron beams, the powder of copper is beforehand mixed with a powder of an auxiliary metal having a higher melting point than pure copper. In order to ensure the substantial purity in copper of the weld bead, the powder mixture should not include more than 16 wt % nickel.
