  • Patent number: 6752867
Abstract: The invention provides an antibacterial agent for concrete comprising a silver compound, a copper compound and an ion-retaining compound; a concrete composition comprising the antibacterial agent; and a concrete product produced from the concrete composition. The concrete composition containing the antibacterial agent and the concrete product produced using the concrete composition show excellent antibacterial effect against causative bacteria of the corrosion of concrete such as sulfur reducing bacteria, sulfur oxidizing bacteria and carboxylic acid-producing bacteria, in particular, in sewage treatment plants.

  • Patent number: 5011602
Abstract: An antibacterial material for water comprising a carrier containing an antibacterial agent and a fabric surrounding it is disclosed. When this antibacterial material for water is placed in water, microorganisms living in the water would pass through the fabric and approach the carrier, so that they are attacked by the antibacterial agent contained therein and die. On the other hand, contaminants and slime in the water cannot approach the carrier since they are filtered off by the fabric. Therefore the surface of the carrier is hardly coated with contaminants or slime and kept in an exposed state. As a result, the antibiotic effect of the antibacterial material on the water can be maintained for a long period of time.

  • Patent number: 4906464
Abstract: A method for preparing a dispersion containing antibiotic powder comprises mixing the antibiotic powder and a dispersing medium at a temperature at which the dispersing medium is in the form of a liquid under a reduced pressure of not more than 470 Torr. According to this method, the antibiotic powder is uniformly dispersed in various dispersing mediums and antibiotic products having high antibiotic action is effectively be provided by using the resulting dispersion.

  • Patent number: 4107649
Abstract: In an error detection circuit of a data processing circuit having a parity generator, a parity signal is predicted from an initial value determined by the data storing state of the data processing circuit in its initial state and a count value of the number of logic "1" or "0" in input data of the data processing circuit and/or the number of logic "1" "0" of output data, obtained by counters or the like. A parity signal derived from the parity generator is compared with the predicted parity signal to detect malfunction of the error detection circuit.
