  • Patent number: 7423857
Abstract: By switching the NMOS (11) on and off, a drive current passes through a solenoid (15). The drive current passes through a conversion circuit (16), and an amplifier circuit (17) outputs a current detection result by amplifying the output voltage of the conversion circuit (16). Because a plurality of resistor elements (161 to 16n) that constitute the conversion circuit (16), together with elements that constitute the amplifier circuit (17) are formed diffused to a semiconductor substrate (100), even if the attribute changes by the conversion circuit (16) generating heat, by the drive current, the amplifier circuit (17) becomes approximately the same temperature, and the attribute changes. Therefore, a highly accurate current detection becomes possible without using components for temperature correction.

  • Patent number: 5901254
Abstract: The present invention provides an image reducing system and method capable of retaining fine lines in a reduced image by reducing an original image and by quickly forming the reduced image with high quality. The method includes specifying positions of pixels of a reduced image in the original image according to reduction ratios, extracting a run of pieces of the same color information about the color of the pixels of the original image as a line, determining the line width of the extracted line and determining the line width after reduction in the reduction ratios based on the line width of the extracted line and calculating the centroid of the extracted line, and retaining the color information about the extracted line at a reduced pixel near the centroid on the basis of the centroid of the extracted line and the line width after reduction. The method further performs the step of determining the color information about each reduced pixel based on the retained color information.

  • Patent number: 5717852
Abstract: In the bus constitution in an information processing unit for transferring data between a bus-master and bus-slave via a plurality of buses, if a fault occurs in a bus when data is transferred between the bus-master and bus-slave via the buses and the H side fault detection/reporting circuit of the bus-slave or the H side fault detection/processing circuit of the bus-master detects the fault, the data transfer via the bus is stopped and information indicating that the bus is faulty is stored in the bus status information keeping circuit. When the data transfer via the bus ends normally thereafter, the bus selector confirms that the bus is normal from the information of the bus status information keeping circuit and activates the L side bus controller so as to operate the bus and to transfer the data which cannot be transferred due to the bus fault via the bus.

  • Patent number: 5625810
Abstract: The present invention is a data file apparatus in which input data files are assigned attribute information which is a clue to retrieval of the data files. Each data file is assigned an appropriate symbol to be displayed when assignment of a symbol as attribute information for the desired first data file displayed in the display means is selected, and each data file is assigned a keyword for when assignment of a keyword as attribute information for the desired second data file is selected. Accordingly data files may be easily registered and retrieved in accordance with attribute information thereof as either symbols or keywords.

  • Patent number: 5608858
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system integrally comprising a CAD system and an electronic filing system. When vector data such as figures and their names are converted to image (raster) data for storage, the system automatically extracts, from the vector data coming from the CAD system, those data that correspond to predetermined character attributes, maximum numeric attributes, primitives of each figure and the topology thereof. The data are set as key-words and are made to correspond to the image data for registration and storage into the electronic filing system. In searching for desired image data, the corresponding key-words are input for data retrieval and output.

  • Patent number: 5590317
Abstract: A document information compression and retrieval system which reduces the document data amount and shortens the retrieval time when mass document information is registered and retrieved. A method of registering document information in a document information retrieval system which stores document information consisting of a large number of characters for retrieval of the stored document information. Entered document information is separated into words. Whether or not each of the words is a word to which a compressed code is assigned is determined. If not already assigned, a compressed code is assigned to the word. The words are converted into the assigned compressed codes for storing a compressed text.

  • Patent number: 5539843
Abstract: An image processing system wherein for an inputted composite image composed of a line image and a dither image, both a line image processing and a dither image processing are carried out in parallel, and one of the processed results as selected in accordance with the image region discrimination result. The dither image processing is carried out through data conversion for calculating multivalued gray scale image from the inputted image data, gray scale data conversion for adjusting the gray scale image data so as to match an output device and obtaining such adjusted gray scale image data, and re-binarization for re-binarizing the gray scale image data after subjected to the gray scale conversion. The image region discrimination for discriminating if an image region is of a line image of a dither image is carried out based on a ratio of the number of black or white pixels within the region to the contour line length within the range.

  • Patent number: 5471549
Abstract: A document is scanned by an optical scanner to be converted into digital image data to be transmitted to an image memory. Characters are extracted from the digital image data one by one and features are extracted from each of the extracted characters. The features as standard patterns stored in a character recognition dictionary are read out to be subjected to 90 degree rotation, 180 degree rotation and 270 degree rotation by a feature rotator, thereby to produce standard patterns of the four directions. Similarity measures are individually calculated between the standard patterns of the four directions and the features of each extracted character, with respect to the four directions. This processing is repeated for a plurality of characters recorded in the document to select a direction having the maximum add value of the similarity measures, thereby to detect an input direction of the document.
