  • Patent number: 7163192
Abstract: An actuator for a valve serving to transfer turning power from a motor to an output shaft through an inner gearing planet gear speed reducing mechanism that is imposed in a casing and adapted to effect speed reduction of the turning power, and utilize rotation of the output shaft to open and close a valve by rotation. The gear speed reduction mechanism includes an eccentric body rotated in consequence of transfer of the turning power from the motor, an outer gear disposed so as to generate a vibrating rotation through the eccentric body, an inner gear meshed in an inscribing manner with the outer gear, a rotation transferring mechanism for extracting rotation from the vibrating rotation of the outer gear and transferring the extracted rotation to the output shaft, and an output shaft connected through the rotation transferring mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20050184265
Abstract: This invention relates to an actuator for a valve to be loaded in a rotary valve, such as a ball valve or a butterfly valve. An object is to make it possible to control the angle of the valve accurately, detect the open-close position of the valve accurately and materialize reduction of size and weight and saving of cost owing to the simplification of structure. Another object is to provide a compact and economically excellent actuator for a valve which enables valve opening-detecting members, such as limit switches and potentiometers and other component members to be put to common use without reference to the size of the output torque and ensures accurate detection of the open-close position of the valve.

  • Patent number: 4765592
Abstract: A material for valve seats is a composite material comprising a base material composed of PTFE and 3 to 30% by weight of PFA based on the total amount of the base material, and 5 to 30% by weight of glass fiber or 5 to 25% by weight of carbon fiber based on the total amount of the composite material. When the glass fiber is used as an additive, 5 to 25% by weight of powdered graphite or 3 to 10% by weight of molybdenum disulfide based on the total amount of the composite material is further added as occasion demands.

  • Patent number: 4260883
Abstract: An optical measurement system for eliminating the influences of time variations on light sources, transmission lines, photo detectors, etc. The system includes light sources which generate two pulse-shaped optical signals of different light wavelengths with a portion of the optical signals being transmitted to a measuring part in a distant place by a transmission line. In the measuring part, a change of a measured object is converted into a variation in the quantity of transmission of light, and the optical signal subjected to the variation is transmitted to a signal processing portion by a transmission line. The varied optical signal is converted into a first electric signal by a photo detector. Another portion of the optical signals from the light sources is converted into a second electric signal by another photo detector.

  • Patent number: 4054476
Abstract: Process and apparatus for fabricating a pneumatic rubber fender comprising a cylindrical body of a combination of a plurality of rubber and reinforced rubber layers, both of the terminal ends of which are closed so that compressed air can be sealed therein. In the fabrication process, the cylindrical body of a non-vulcanized rubber fender, one end of which is closed by a first end plate, is firstly formed on a fabrication drum provided with a cylindrical portion and an end plate portion closing one end of the cylindrical portion. The connection of a second end plate with an opened free end of the above-mentioned cylindrical body of the non-vulcanized rubber fender is carried out in such a condition that the above-mentioned opened free end is turned back while the cylindrical body of the non-vulcanized rubber fender is mounted on the fabrication drum.
