The monitoring systems for monitoring a molding apparatus and an airflow and press molding apparatus include sensors, a local unit, and a remote unit. The local unit transmits the signals associated with the required attributes, which are measured by the sensors, of the molding apparatus to the remote unit via the communication network. The remote unit is designed so that it receives the signals transmitted from the local unit; thereby the user can monitor the molding apparatus or the air-flow and press molding apparatus remotely at the production and operation by them.

Abstract: A blow molding machine provided with a blow head to hold molding sand therein, at least one passage connected to an upper portion of the blow head at one end thereof and connected to a pressurized air supply source at the other end so as to apply compressed air to the molding sand held in the blow head, for blowing and charging the molding sand from the blow head into a mold space that is located adjacent the blow head and then compacting the charged molding sand to produce a sand mold. The blow molding machine includes at least one chamber disposed on an inner surface of an external wall of the blow head at a middle portion of the blow head, the chamber having an inner surface facing the molding sand held in the blow head, at least part of the inner surface having a plurality of apertures to allow air to pass through them, and a pressurized air supply source connected to the chamber to supply compressed air into the chamber and into the molding sand to fluidize it.

The apparatus comprises a first lifting cylinder (5) having an upwardly extendable piston rod (5A) and that is fixedly disposed below the transport path, a mount table (7) secured to the tip end of the first lifting cylinder piston rod (5), and second and third lifting cylinders mounted on the mount table in a spaced-apart relationship, the second and third lifting cylinders each having an upwardly extendable piston rod (9, 9A), a mount plate (10, 10A) secured to the tip end of the piston rod (9, 9A), and a plurality of draw pins (11, 11A) mounted upright on the mount plate.

Abstract: Before supplying molding sand into the blow head, a blow-in port of the mold-defining device is connected to a blow-off port of the blow head so that molding sand flowing out of the blow-off port is received by the device after the molding sand has been supplied to the blow head. Preferably, after molding sand has been charged into the mold space but before the mold-defining device is moved out of engagement with the blow head, sand remaining in the blow-off port is hardened.
