  • Patent number: 10559923
Abstract: An electrical connection device includes a first connector (C1) having a first housing (10), a second connector (C2) having a second housing (20) for receiving the insertion of the first housing (10), and a connection detecting tool (30). The first housing (10) includes a housing body (12), a lock (14) having a tool restraining portion (14d) and a displacement restricting portion (16) for blocking an insertion allowing displacement of the lock (14). The connection detecting tool (30) is held at an operating position to resiliently deform the displacement restricting portion (16) to allow the insertion allowing displacement. The tool restraining portion (14d) restrains the connection detecting tool (30) at the operating position so as not to be separable while allowing the separation of the connection detecting tool (30) from the operating position as the lock (14) resiliently returns to a lock position.

  • Publication number: 20200044379
Abstract: A connector includes a housing (10) having a terminal accommodation chamber (11) formed therein, and a first terminal fitting (12) can be inserted into the terminal accommodation chamber (11). A retainer (20) can be assembled to the housing (10) at a temporary locking position and at a final locking position, and a terminal holding member (30) can be assembled to the housing (10). A second terminal fitting (40) is attached to the terminal holding member (30). Interference parts (24, 26) are formed in the retainer (20) and the terminal holding member (30), respectively. The interference parts do not interfere with each other when the retainer (20) is in the final locking position. However, the interference parts interfere with each other to prevent the terminal holding member (30) from being assembled to the housing (10) when the retainer (20) is in the temporary locking position.

  • Publication number: 20200014138
Abstract: A connector of an electrical connection assembly includes terminals (20) corresponding respectively to wires (10) arranged in a wire arrangement direction, an insulating housing and connecting members (70) applied to the terminals (20). Each terminal (20) has a wire connection surface (27a). The connecting member (70) is made of solder and is fixed to the wire connection surface (27a) to electrically connect a conductor (12) of the wire (10) and the wire connection surface (27a). A surface of the connecting member (70) has a convex-concave shape including restricting portions (73, 74) for restricting displacement of the wire (10) with respect to the wire connection surface (27a) in the wire arrangement direction, thereby ensuring high connection reliability by stabilizing relative positions of the wires and terminals in the connector.

  • Publication number: 20200006888
Abstract: A wiring harness includes wires (10), terminal fittings (20) connected respectively to end parts of the wires (10), and a sheet (30) to which the wires (10) and at least a part of the terminal fittings (20) along which the wires (10) are disposed are sewn by a sewing thread (T). Accordingly, the wires (10) cannot be pulled singly. Further, if the wires (10) are pulled together with the sheet (30), a pulling force is dispersed to the wire (10) and the sheet (30) so that the pulling force on the wire (10) is reduced. In addition, since at least a wire arranging portion (23) of the terminal fitting (20) along which the wire (10) is disposed is sewn to the sheet (30) by the sewing thread (T), detachment of the wire (10) from the terminal fitting (20) is prevented.

  • Patent number: 10490928
Abstract: A connector has parts that can be used in common as much as possible in different specifications to reduce cost and to facilitate parts management. In a first specification having a high shielding function, a terminal fitting (20) connected to a shielded electric wire (15) is accommodated in a dielectric (23). The dielectric (23) is surrounded by an outer conductor (40) that is connected to a braided wire (18). The second specification requires no shielding function, and thus the outer conductor (40) is not used. Rather, a sub-housing (70) having the same shape and size as the outer conductor (40) of the first specification is used. The sub-housing (70) is configured to accommodate and retain the terminal fitting (20) and is locked in a same retained state as in the first specification when accommodated in a common housing (10) used in both specifications.

  • Patent number: 10476193
Abstract: It is aimed to detect a mounted state of a second terminal fitting in a terminal unit in which the second terminal fitting is mounted in a terminal holding member. A connector includes an interfering projection (25) formed on a retainer (21). When a second terminal fitting (50) of a terminal unit (30) is properly mounted in a terminal holding member (31), the retainer (21) is displaceable from a partial locking position to a full locking position without the interfering projection (25) interfering with the second terminal fitting (50). When the second terminal fitting (50) is improperly mounted in the terminal holding member (31), the interfering projection (25) interferes with the second terminal fitting (50), thereby restricting a displacement of the retainer (21) to a full locking position.
