  • Patent number: 11841335
Abstract: A nondestructive inspection apparatus makes a neutron beam incident on an inspection target, detects a specific gamma ray deriving from a target component in the inspection target, among gamma rays generated by the neutron beam, and determines a depth at which the target component exists, based on a result of the detecting. The nondestructive inspection apparatus includes a neutron source that emits a neutron beam to a surface of the inspection target, a gamma ray detection device that detects, as detection intensities, intensities of a plurality of types of specific gamma rays whose energy differs from each other, and a ratio calculation unit that determines a ratio between the detection intensities of a plurality of types of the specific gamma rays.

  • Publication number: 20230295902
Abstract: A controller calculates a first bearing indicative of the bearing of a work machine based on first positional data and second positional data. The controller calculates the position of the work machine. The controller calculates a second bearing indicative of the bearing of the work machine based on a change in the position of the work machine in a predetermined zone when a determination condition, including a travel condition indicating that the work machine is traveling in a straight line, is satisfied within the predetermined zone. The controller calculates a correction value of the bearing of the work machine based on the difference between the first bearing and the second bearing in the predetermined zone. The controller corrects the first bearing based on the correction value.

  • Publication number: 20230152250
Abstract: A concentration detector includes: a neutron source emitting neutrons to a target; a gamma ray detector detecting and determining an amount of specific gamma rays that are among gamma rays generated in the target by interactions with the neutrons; and a concentration calculator calculating a concentration of the target at selected depths in the inspection target, based on the detected amount. A relational expression expressing a relation between a plurality of concentrations of the target in a plurality of virtual layers and a detected amount of the specific gamma rays is predetermined for each type of the specific gamma rays or each detection condition. The concentration calculator applies the detected amount for each gamma ray type or each detection condition, to the relational expression for the type or the detection condition, and calculates a concentration of the target component in the layer at each depth or the specific depth.

  • Patent number: 4058919
Abstract: A segment type, electric light figure indicator including a casing defining a plurality of flat compartments wherein at least one of the compartments is sub-divided into a plurality of sub-compartments. Each sub-compartment has a cross-section in a lateral plane in the shape of a triangle, the bases of triangles being substantially linearly aligned. At least one light source is mounted in each sub-compartment in the apex angle of the triangle. A cover plate covers the top opening of the casing and has a plurality of slots which permit light emanating from the light sources to shine through, at least one of the slots being located parallel to, in front of and coextensive with the aligned bases of the triangles of the sub-compartments. The sub-compartments each have a reflecting wall inclined to the cover plate at an angle of about 15.degree. to 75.degree., the inclined wall being located immediately behind the slot coextensive with the aligned triangle bases.
