The function providing server stores the license and an operating condition for granting the license, when attempting to start the application software, the information device transmits to the function providing server a licensing request of the application software and an operating environment of the information device, and the function providing server compares an operating condition of the application software corresponding to the requested license with the operating environment of the information device, and grants the license to the information device when the operating environment satisfies the operating condition.

Abstract: A method for controlling and switching terminals includes a writing step and a logoff step. In the writing step, when there is a connection request from a given terminal, a processor of a switching device writes, into a memory, user identification information, a password, identification information of a communication system, and an IP address and port number so that their information and data are associated with one another. In the logoff step, if the same user identification information, password, and identification information of communication system as the above are already written in the memory, the processor logs off the other terminal that has the IP address and port number that are already so written in the storage unit as to be associated with the user identification information, the password, and the identification information of communication system.

Abstract: A communication system for communication between a plurality of networks through a NAPT (Network Address Port Translation) device has communication terminals provided in a local network and a global network, a main device for managing communication information of the communication terminals, and a table provided in the main device for storing identification information, a local address, and a global address of each communication terminal in association with each other. When a communication terminal originates a call, the table is referred to, and when the destination of the call is a communication terminal outside the network, the global address of the NAPT device of the remote network is used as the mutual destination address, whereas when the destination of the call is a communication terminal present in the same network, the local address effective only in the local network is used.

In the presence state table, presence information of all users is registered. Upon receiving a call, the exchanger retrieves the presence information of the corresponding user from the presence state table. The exchange further retrieves the forwarding destination information according to the presence information from the forwarding destination table to forward the call. When the presence information is rewritten, the forwarding destination of the call is changed without rewriting the forwarding destination information.
