  • Publication number: 20150357984
Abstract: There are provided a receiving device that can enhance the degree of freedom of sound volume correction by a construction of quantitatively variably controlling the gain of an antenna amplifier, and a method of controlling the receiving device. The gain of a front end unit 31 functioning as an antenna amplifier is variably controlled with a predetermined unit on the basis of the reception intensity of electric waves by an AGC circuit unit 40, and sound volume correction is performed with a correction amount different depending on the gain of the front end unit 31 by a second sound volume correcting unit 48 of a tuner DSP 46.

  • Patent number: 8511590
Abstract: A high voltage is applied between an emitter electrode in an atomizing barrel and an opposed electrode supported to the atomizing barrel to electrostatically atomize a liquid supplied to the emitter electrode into a mist of charged minute particles. A silencer duct is attached to the front end of the atomizing barrel for reducing noises developed when generating the mist of the charged minute particles. Accordingly, the silencer duct can absorb the noises developed around the emitter electrode and the opposed electrode at immediately downstream thereof for effectively reducing the noises.

  • Patent number: 7315098
Abstract: A linear oscillator and an electric toothbrush capable of emitting a low noise and of being assembled compact are provided. The linear oscillator, which reciprocates a shaft in an axial direction thereof, includes a plunger movable together with the shaft in the axial direction of the shaft, an elastic member for applying an axially acting resilient force to the plunger, an electromagnetic driving unit operable to reciprocate the plunger in the axial direction of the shaft at a resonant frequency when an alternating current is supplied thereto, and a fixing member restricting rotation of the plunger about an axis thereof within a predetermined angle. The electric toothbrush includes the linear oscillator and a brush head attached to the shaft for use in brushing teeth.

  • Patent number: 6196236
Abstract: An ultrasonic hair curling device capable of applying ultrasonic vibration efficiently to hairs for effective hair styling in a short time. The device includes a housing, an ultrasonic generator incorporated in the housing for generating ultrasonic vibrations, and a horn connected to receive and transmit the ultrasonic vibrations. The horn is formed at its end with a hollow barrel which projects from the housing for receiving therearound a strand of hair to be curled. The hollow barrel is provided at a portion intermediates at its longitudinal ends with a hair winding zone of which cross-section is smaller than the other portion of the hollow barrel. The hair winding zone of the reduced cross section can vibrate at an amplitude larger than at the front end of the barrel for applying the ultrasonic vibrations efficiently to the hair and making the hair curling effectively.
