  • Patent number: 10243336
Abstract: An electric wire insertion member includes an axially elongated cutout, a circumferentially elongated cutout, a turnable fitting, a locking projection, and an elastic locking piece. The axially elongated cutout extends frontward from a rear end of the shield pipe. The circumferentially elongated cutout extends from the axially elongated cutout in a circumferential direction. The turnable fitting is configured to be fitted in the shield pipe and to turn in a circumferential direction. The locking projection protrudes from the turnable fitting and configured to enter the axially elongated cutout as the turnable fitting is fitted into the shield pipe and to enter the circumferentially elongated cutout as the turnable fitting turns. The elastic locking piece is configured to be locked in a circumferential direction by a locked surface of the axially elongated cutout when the locking projection is positioned in the circumferentially elongated cutout.

  • Patent number: 10124748
Abstract: A vehicular high-voltage wire that can suppress short-circuiting between a positive wire and a negative wire that are connected to an in-vehicle high-voltage battery. A wire harness includes a positive high-voltage wire and a negative high-voltage wire that are connected to an in-vehicle high-voltage battery. The positive high-voltage wire includes a core wire that is made of a conductor and is for electrical connection to the high-voltage battery, and a protection member that is constituted by woven reinforced fibers that have an insulation property, and is shaped as a tube that surrounds the outer circumference of the core wire.

  • Publication number: 20130000974
Abstract: A wire harness includes a bundle of electric wires and a protector protecting the bundle of electric wires by extending in a longitudinal direction of the bundle of electric wires and surrounding a portion thereof. The protector includes a base material and a binder material having a lower melting point than the base material, the protector being joined in a joint portion thereof by cooling and solidifying the melted binder material. In a case where a first side portion and a second side portion are each provided as a portion along the longitudinal direction in an outer peripheral surface of the protector and the second side portion is disposed opposite the first side portion with the bundle of electric wires therebetween, a portion of the binder material in each of the first side portion and the second side portion is melted, cooled, and solidified such that the second side portion is harder than the first side portion.

  • Patent number: 5911450
Abstract: A wire harness including a plurality of wires surrounded by an outer tube wherein the outer surface thereof has an axial line drawn thereon. If the harness becomes twisted during handling and before installation, the line becomes helical and, since it is of contrasting color to that of the surface to which it is applied, it is readily visible to the installer. To correct the undesirable twisting, the wire harness is counter-rotated until the line becomes straight once again. The device can then be installed in the usual manner. If installation of a twisted wire harness is attempted, the additional distances which the branches must travel will make them too short to reach their intended connection points. A device for applying the line to the outer surface is also disclosed.
