  • Patent number: 5233148
Abstract: In an electrical discharge machining apparatus, the average machining gap voltage is controlled to be a predetermined value even if a discharging operation is interrupted. This is accomplished by providing a bypass circuit or an inverse voltage providing circuit that responds to an interruption in the discharging operation. By controlling the average machining gap voltage, electrolytic corrosion and magnetization of the workpiece is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4792682
Abstract: A pyroelectric infrared detector or infrared ray receiving element comprising a plurality of pyroelectric operating areas, utilizing one of the operating areas as an infrared radiation detection area having a light-transmissive surface electrode. The electrical signal produced in the signal detection area is compensated by an electrical signal produced in another pyroelectric operating area having a light-reflective surface electrode. Temperature drift and noise due to vibration are drastically reduced through the compensation.
