  • Patent number: 7805285
Abstract: A numerical control apparatus can perform a machining simulation or an interference check that reflects worksite information. However, a machining simulation apparatus cannot use worksite information in a machining simulation or an interference check. Thus, simulation conditions of the machining simulation apparatus are different from those of the numerical control apparatus. To solve this problem, a machining simulation apparatus and a numerical control apparatus according to the present invention can communicate with each other via a communication unit or a storage medium so as to mutually transmit and receive data. The machining simulation apparatus includes a network transmission/reception control unit or an external memory reading/writing unit. Similarly, the numerical control apparatus includes a network transmission/reception control unit or an external memory reading/writing unit.

  • Patent number: 7689300
Abstract: When causing manual movement of a moving section of a machine tool, shape data of the moving section is made to move in a movement direction that has been input manually, and it is confirmed whether there is no interference with shape data of a surrounding interfering object. If interference occurs, a position returned a specified distance from the position where interference occurs is made a stop position, the moving section is moved to this stop position, and stopped at that position.

  • Patent number: 6690982
Abstract: A method and device to automatically determine the operation balance of processing/assembly machines such as NC machine tools. The device detects the machine operations related to income and expenditure as income/expenditure data and stores the income and expenditure amounts in a memory based on the detected income/expenditure data and calculates the income/expenditure balance of the individual machines for an arbitrary period based on the stored income and expenditure amounts. In the NC machine tool, the operations related to the income and expenditure can be detected while monitoring the execution statuses of the NC program. By calculating the income/expenditure amounts with multiplication of such operations by the predetermined unit prices of income or expenditure and subtracting the expenditure amount from the income amount, the operation balance of the machine for each cycle or every week or month can be determined.

  • Patent number: 6671571
Abstract: In the present invention, for an NC program for controlling a machine tool, information for machining quality required by a machine tool is prewritten in the program. A measurement program for measuring the machining quality of the workpiece using a measuring machine is produced by analyzing the NC program. The machining quality of the workpiece is measured by the measurement program and the measuring machine. The machining quality of the workpiece can be judged by comparing the measurement results and the machining quality information included in the NC program. By utilizing this quality judgement, simple and effective system control can be achieved when a system such as CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) is constructed in cooperation with other machine tools.

  • Patent number: 6662073
Abstract: A machining simulation is performed on a graphic data basis prior to machining. Machining simulation means (17) simulates a forced-vibration frequency and/or a load variation frequency occurring due to interrupted cutting on the basis of machining information, and numerical control command generating means (18) generates a numerical control command on the basis of the frequencies obtained from the machining simulation means (17). A spindle rotation speed can be reflected on the actual machining and the generation of a machining program under conditions optimum for the actual machining. Therefore, the interrupted-cutting forced-vibration frequency and/or load variation frequency, or harmonic frequencies thereof which are integral multiples thereof are prevented from being close to the natural frequency of a machine, a tool, a jig or a workpiece. Thus, chattering due to resonance can be prevented, thereby improving a surface accuracy.

  • Patent number: 6512961
Abstract: There is provided a method and device which extracts as a running operation history a modification made to an NC program for numerical control of machine tools which has already been completed. After making an NC program, modifications are made to the NC program prior to the actual operation so that experience in field work or results of test machining can be reflected. An optimum NC program can be obtained through such modifications, and contents of the modifications are extracted from the NC program as a running operation history to produce a data base. The running operation history data base is reflected in subsequent preparation of NC programs having similar conditions.
