  • Patent number: 7052248
Abstract: A hermetic compressor is equipped with a suction muffler including: a muffling space having two rooms; a communication space to communicate these two rooms with each other; a first communication passage to communicate a movable valve with the muffling space and extending to an opening into the muffling space; and a second communication passage to communicate an enclosed container with the muffling space and extending to an opening into the muffling space. The openings into the muffling space from the first and the second communication passages are disposed in one of the two rooms, and the other room of the two rooms forms a resonance muffler whose resonance frequency matches a cavity resonance frequency of the enclosed container. The configuration can provide the hermetic compressor with a reduced noise emission and a high compression efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20050010939
Abstract: An air flow generated during disk rotation is rectified to suppress disk vibrations and prevent the qualities of recorded and reproduced signals from being degraded. Notches 24 and 26 are formed on top edges of right and left side walls 22 and 22 of a frame 10. Opposite ends of a clamp holder 28 along its long side direction are fixedly mounted on the notches 24 and 26. Rectifiers of repetitive structures 32 and 34 having a wave shape as viewed in plan are formed on the clamper holder 28 on the plate portions 28a and 28b on both sides of a clamper 30 and at edges on the output side of an air flow generated during disk rotation.

  • Patent number: 6155067
Abstract: A hermetic compressor of the present invention is provided with one or more small holes 17 formed in the shell of the suction muffler 16 formed with a low thermal conductivity material such as synthetic resin. The small holes 17 are positioned at nodes 18 in a vibration mode for the resonance frequency of the space formed in the hermetic shell, so that amplification of the resonance sound of the space in the hermetic shell 1 is suppressed. Furthermore, a shortage of the refrigerant is supplemented by the refrigerant gas sucked from the hermetic shell 1 through the small holes 17 when it occurs due to a suction loss caused by the resistance of the flow path for guiding a high density refrigerant gas from the suction tube into the cylinder 8 according to the circulation of the refrigerant.

  • Patent number: 5565688
Abstract: A method for preparing an active substance for positive electrode in non-aqueous electrolytic secondary cells making use of a lithium or lithium alloy negative electrode is described. The method comprises providing an amorphous citrate complex of lithium and a transition metal and firing the complex at a predetermined temperature to obtain an active substance. The citrate complex is obtained by preparing an aqueous mixed solution of lithium hydroxide or carbonate, a water-soluble transition metal salt and citric acid and dehydrating the mixed solution to obtain an amorphous citrate complex. The complex is then fired at a temperature ranging from 300.degree. to 900.degree. C. to obtain an active substance.

  • Patent number: 5360268
Abstract: A temperature measuring apparatus measures the temperature of a medium according to the propagation time of ultrasonic waves propagated for a predetermined distance through the medium. The apparatus has a transmitter 11, 12 for transmitting ultrasonic waves having a fixed frequency at predetermined timing and a receiver 13, 14, 15 for receiving the ultrasonic waves and providing a received signal. A delay time detector 24 detects, in response to the received signal, a delay time between the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic waves and a wave number calculator 21 calculates an integral wave number according to the delay time and a period of the ultrasonic waves. A phase difference detector 25 detects a phase difference between the transmitted and received ultrasonic waves modulating the received signal with a frequency that is sufficiently higher than the frequency of the ultrasonic waves.

  • Patent number: 5101496
Abstract: When selectors select a printer A in accordance with a printer select signal derived from a main body of a data processing system, a horizontal sync signal supplied from the printer A resets a 16-bit counter. An internal clock signal generator generates a clock signal and applies it through the selector to the counter. The counter counts the internal clock signal and produces a carry signal. In response to the carry signal, a line buffer circuit produces image data and transfers it to the printer A. When a printer B is used, the printer B sends a dot clock signal to the counter. Image data is read out from the line buffer circuit by a carry signal generated in a similar way, and is transferred to the printer A.

  • Patent number: 5031115
Abstract: A Central Processing Unit (CPU) sends a parity command to each printer in a printing system including a plurality of printers and discriminates status data returned from the printers in response to the parity command to determine which printer is coupled to a printer interface and reads out a system program associated with the printer from a magnetic disk device. The CPU also causes a selector of the printer interface to select a dot clock signal for the printer presently coupled to the printer interface, reads out image data from a memory using this dot clock signal and sends the acquired data to the coupled printer.

  • Patent number: 4952920
Abstract: In a document file apparatus, image data to be displayed on a CRT display unit of a vertical scanning type having a rectangular display area whose long sides are aligned with a horizontal direction is temporarily stored in a page memory. An enlarge/reduction circuit changes a character font generated by a character generator into a pattern of a predetermined size. The address of the converted character font is translated by a rotation buffer, and the character data is substantially rotated 90.degree., clockwise on the display screen. The 90.degree.-rotated data is temporarily stored in a display memory so as to correspond to the image data supplied from the display memory. An image corresponding to the stored image data is displayed on a CRT display unit. The image displayed on the CRT display screen is erected with respect to the normal viewing position of the operator.
