Abstract: An outboard engine unit for use on small ships or boats having a small-size casing assembly. The outboard engine unit includes a casing assembly, a propeller shaft disposed horizontally in a lower portion of the casing, a propeller mounted on one end of the propeller shaft and disposed outside of the casing assembly, an engine disposed in an upper portion of the casing assembly, the engine having a vertical crankshaft and at least one horizontal cylinder, and a vertical shaft disposed vertically in the casing, for transmitting rotative power of the crankshaft to the propeller shaft. The cylinder has an axis which extends parallel to and is laterally offset from the longitudinal central axis of the casing assembly as it is viewed in plan.

Abstract: An in-line multicylinder outboard engine for an outboard engine unit including a vertical array of cylinders, a vertically extending crankshaft, a flywheel mounted on the upper end of the crankshaft, and a camshaft driver unit positioned between the flywheel and an upper surface of an engine block. The engine also includes a vertical array of intake/fuel supply devices connected respectively to pipes of an intake manifold. The uppermost intake/fuel supply device has at least a portion of it positioned below a plane in which the flywheel is rotatable and within a region defined laterally of the camshaft driver unit. The pipes of the intake manifold have equal lengths.

Abstract: A clutch device for working vehicles including a pressure member integrally rotatable with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine of the vehicle, a centrifugal weight supported by the pressure member, the centrifugal weight being centrifugally movable in a higher revolution region than a predetermined number of revolutions of the crankshaft, a clutch outer member driven to be rotated by the pressure member, a plurality of drive friction plates integrally supported by the clutch outer member, the drive friction plates being axially movable, a clutch inner member fixedly provided with a plurality of driven friction plates frictionally engageable with the drive friction plates and having an output portion connected to a working implement of the vehicle, and a member for resiliently biassing the drive friction plates and the driven friction plates in their engagement direction.
