    Abstract: A headlight for a motor vehicle having a level for adjusting the direction of light emission from the headlight in the vertical direction in which the quantities of heat transmitted to the respective regions of the casing of the level which face the bubble vial of the level are made substantially equal to each other, even if the temperature around the level changes due to the lighting or extinction of the bulb of the headlight or the like, so that the accuracy of the measurement performed with the level is maintained despite changes in the temperature around the level.
