  • Publication number: 20080275999
Abstract: In order that a loop does not occur when switching upstream terminal apparatus, to provide an information distribution system capable of preemptively detecting a distribution route loop, and avoiding the loop, a terminal apparatus and a program used in the same system, as well as a loop connection avoidance method. A terminal apparatus B which has received loop connection detection information from upstream determines whether or not a downstream terminal apparatus of a control path which is not a distribution route along which contents information is flowing, and a source of the loop connection detection information match and, in the event that they match, determines that a loop will occur. By this means, it is possible to determine in advance that a loop will occur, before switching an upstream connection destination.

  • Publication number: 20080215594
Abstract: To provide a contents distribution system, a terminal apparatus and a contents distribution method, as well as a recording medium on which is recorded a program used therein, which can avoid an increase in accesses to a connection management server. A terminal apparatus in a contents distribution system stores previously connected terminal apparatus, correlated to a contents channel. Also, the terminal apparatus, in the event that an instruction to change a contents channel is issued, selects a terminal apparatus, from among the previously connected terminal apparatus, corresponding to the contents channel for which the change instruction has been issued, and requests of the selected terminal apparatus a connection destination candidate corresponding to the contents channel for which the change instruction has been issued.

  • Publication number: 20080089248
Abstract: A tree type network system including an information delivery device, a plurality of node devices, and an administration, wherein the node devices are connected in a tree-like shape via a communication route while placing the information delivery device in an uppermost level and forming a plurality of hierarchy levels, and the delivery information is sequentially transferred from the node device in an upper hierarchy level to the node devices in lower hierarchy levels, wherein the administration device includes: a device for acquiring attribute information of a node device, which transmits participation request information, and determines device information on the basis of the attribute information thus acquired upon receipt of participation request information of requesting device information of node device as connection candidate, and a device for transmitting the connection end candidate information thus determined to the node device which transmits the participation request information.

  • Publication number: 20080010207
Abstract: The present invention is to provide an information delivery system including a plurality of node devices enabled to mutually communicate via a network where the authentication processing regarding issuance of request data to release restriction for playback of each of delivery information pieces is performed by a plurality of node devices in a distributed manner, it is possible to prevent request concentration to a specific device such as a server, and therefore the load of authentication processing is drastically reduced compared with conventional client-server architecture.

  • Publication number: 20030048490
Abstract: In an image recognizing apparatus in which a plurality of stand-type image scanners using environmental light are connected respectively to client computers and the client computers are connected via a network to each other, when a scanner is started, the client computer connected thereto reads the event of start and reads in response thereto light intensity information of the associated scanner and light intensity information of one of the other scanners via its associated client computer and the network to determine light intensity. When the light intensity of the associated scanner is insufficient and that of the other scanner is sufficient, the client computer reads again light intensity information after a lapse of a predetermined period of time.
