  • Publication number: 20090299080
Abstract: [Problem] To provide a photochromic compound that is rapidly colored upon irradiation with ultraviolet light, and is rapidly decolored rapidly upon heat application after termination of irradiation with ultraviolet light, and to provide a process for producing the same. [Means for Solving Problems] A photochromic compound represented by general formula (I). R1, R2 and R3 are each a hydrogen atom; a functional group containing an atom in groups 15-16 of the periodic table; a halogen atom; a hydrocarbon group optionally substituted with said functional group or a halogen atom; or an optionally substituted heterocyclic group. R1 and R2 as well as R2 and R3 may be bonded to each other to form an optionally substituted carbon or heterocyclic ring. Z is a polymantylidene group. W is a divalent organic group that forms an optionally substituted carbon aromatic or heterocyclic aromatic ring together with the carbon-carbon double bond to which it is bonded.

  • Patent number: 5136699
Abstract: On generating a logical address from first through third words where the third word has a predetermined word length and the first and the second words are longer, a lower sum is calculated together with a carry by using the third word and first and second lower parts which are selected from the first and the second words to have predetermined word length. The carry is either a binary zero or a binary one bit. Necessity or lack of necessity for addition of first and second higher parts and the carry is decided by using the second higher part and the carry. When the addition is unnecessary, the first higher part and the lower sum are concatenated into the logical address. If the addition is necessary, a higher sum of the first and second higher parts and the carry is calculated and concentrated with the lower sum into the logical address.

  • Patent number: 5107417
Abstract: An address converting method for use in a data processor with a virtual memory. The method includes a step for generating effective addresses by the use of address registers, and a step for deciding whether or not an operating mode which is defined for each process is in an activated state. The method also includes a step responsive to a positive determination at the previous step for determining whether or not an address register having a specific reference number was used in the generation of the effective addresses, and a step responsive to a negative determination at the foregoing step for converting an effective address into a physical address. Furthermore, the method includes a step which is responsive to a positive decision of the step determining register use for treating the effective address generated as a physical address, and a step for accessing a memory by the physical address resulting from the conversion step or that from the physical address step.

  • Patent number: 4905190
Abstract: A multiprogram control information processing system with process roll-in from a main memory to hardware of a central processing unit is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of sets of visible registers corresponding to a plurality of processes stored in a main memory. The plurality of sets of visible registers are connected with a selector connected to an arithmetic unit. The selector selects one of the sets of visible registers according to an entry number corresponding to it. A memory stores the entry numbers of the sets of visible registers and identification codes of the processes in one-to-one correspondence. When an identification code is input, the memory outputs the entry number corresponding to the identification code to the selector thereby to immediately initiate execution of the process having the identification code.

  • Patent number: 4768160
Abstract: An arithmetic unit with a simple overflow detection system performs arithmetic operations between first and second data. The first data is exclusively divided into a fixed value portion and a variable portion, whose digit position is lower than that of the fixed value portion. The ratio of a length of the fixed value portion to that of the variable portion in the first data varies. The second data corresponds only to the variable portion of the first data.

  • Patent number: 4640906
Abstract: A catalyst for the polymerization of olefins which comprises:(1) a solid catalyst component,(2) a piperidine derivative and(3) an organoaluminum compound, characterized in that the solid catalyst component (A) has been prepared by mixing (a) a dialkoxymagnesium and (b) a diester of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid with (c) a halogenated hydrocarbon to form a suspension and thereafter adding the suspension to (d) a titanium tetrahalide to effect reaction, as well as the solid catalyst component and a process for preparing same. The catalyst maintains a high polymerization activity combined with stereospecific performance over a prolonged polymerization time and scarcely incurs any problem of corrosion and odor in the resultant polymer.

  • Patent number: 4338662
Abstract: A microinstruction processing unit of the type in which microinstructions are fed and executed in a predetermined sequence to process data in a data processing system in which, upon the feeding of a higher priority microinstruction, the execution of a lower priority microinstruction is interrupted but is subsequently carried out. Microinstructions lower than the highest priority rank are supplied to control the transfer of data to and from a storage register and to and from a priority rank designated position in a register file. Upon the interruption by has higher priority ranking microinstruction, the data for an interrupted microinstruction remains in the register file but it is replaced in the storage register by data the higher priority ranking microinstruction.
