  • Publication number: 20100186047
Abstract: In a receiving device, a receiver receives extended program information. A user selects a program to be reserved by a selection operation using an operation input unit. An extended reservation manager causes an instruction receiver to transmit an extended reservation instruction based on an extended program identifier for identifying the selected program. In a recording device, a receiver receives program data, mapping information, and program information. The instruction receiver receives the extended reservation instruction transmitted from the receiver. An extended reservation executer acquires an extended program identifier from the received extended reservation instruction and acquires a program identifier corresponding to the extended program identifier on the basis of the mapping information, to store a program reservation on the basis of the program identifier. A program recorder/reproducer records and/or reproduces the program data in accordance with the stored program reservation.

  • Patent number: 7675484
Abstract: A method for driving an AC type surface-discharge display device which has cells arranged in a matrix. Each of the cells has at least three electrodes including a pair of main electrodes on every line of the matrix and an address electrode on every column of the matrix. The method includes providing an address preparation period applying a charge producing pulse and applying a charge adjusting pulse. The charge adjusting pulse has a waveform monotonously falling from a reference potential and a negative polarity and is applied to the second main electrode used as a scan electrode and generates feeble electric discharges between the first and second main electrodes. The feeble electric discharges are accompanied by a decrease of the wall voltage formed by the charge producing pulse.

  • Patent number: 7672574
Abstract: During reception of data broadcast, the control information is created by a control information creator for storage into a first storage. During normal reproduction of the data content stored in the first storage, the data content of the data broadcast being reproduced and the control information are stored in a second storage. During special reproduction of the data content stored in the first storage or after the special reproduction is stopped, the control information stored in the second storage is compared with the control information read out from the first storage during the special reproduction or after the special reproduction is stopped. When the control information stored in the second storage and the control information read out from the first storage coincide with each other, the data broadcast continues to be reproduced using the data content stored in the second storage.

  • Patent number: 7545445
Abstract: A broadcast channel change detection apparatus receives a broadcast wave including channel change information that includes a change date and time of a physical channel of the broadcast wave and physical channels before and after the change, and searches and detects channel change plan information including the change date and time regarding the physical channel to be changed in a television receiver apparatus and the physical channels before and after the change, based on the channel change information. Next, the broadcast channel change detection apparatus receives the broadcast wave on the physical channel after the change in the channel change plan information, and judges whether or not the broadcast wave is actually receivable based on the detected channel change plan information, when the change date and time in the channel change plan information is older than or equal to a current date and time.
