  • Patent number: 5625382
Abstract: A display-integrated tablet consuming less power and capable of detecting positions only with top (row) electrodes of a matrix panel without using bottom (column) electrodes of the matrix panel with which position detection is difficult. A display-integrated tablet with a matrix panel having top (row) and bottom (column) electrodes, a top-electrode (row-electrode) drive, a bottom-electrode (column-electrode) driver, a top (row) electrode position detecting section, a bottom (column) electrode position detecting section having a memory storing detection voltage levels and x- and y-coordinate values corresponding to a certain number of dot positions on the panel, and a position detecting conductor, and performing display and position detection by means of time division. It is possible to decrease power consumption without supplying scanning pulses simultaneously to many electrodes (e.g.
