Patent number: 6803937Abstract: In a photographic printer using a laser scanning unit for exposing a latent image corresponding to an image data on a sensitized surface of a photographic paper, intensities of the laser beams exposing the photographic paper are adjusted corresponding to a variation of an actual sensitivity of the photographic paper and deterioration of a developer with respect to nominal values of them. At least the intensities directly emitted from laser light sources, or values of optical modulation data for modulating the laser beams corresponding to the image data are varied. Alternatively, transmittances of optical elements such as polarizing beam splitters provided on optical paths are varied for adjusting the intensities of the laser beams.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2001Date of Patent: October 12, 2004Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jun Hirooka, Yasutaka Kayama, Fumihiro Nakahara, Hirofumi Hayashi

Patent number: 6552741Abstract: An optical scanning device which performs an exposing operation with respect to a photosensitive material such as a printing sheet, etc., by scanning with laser beams in respective colors modulated according to image data is arranged so as to modulate light beams in respective colors projected from respective light sources of a red LD, a green-color SHG laser unit and a blue-color SHG laser unit by AOMs according to image data. Then, the clock frequency control section adjusts an exposure scanning clock for each of the AOM drivers for driving these AOMs individually. It is therefore possible to suppress an aberration in color caused by a shift in light beams in respective colors which are to be projected onto the same target position.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2001Date of Patent: April 22, 2003Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Fumihiro Nakahara, Jun Hirooka, Yasutaka Kayama, Hirofumi Hayashi

Patent number: 6151098Abstract: A system for processing a customers order for reprinting uses a plurality of film pieces cut from a film to obtain a predetermined number of frames and is based on reprint order information recorded in a recording medium. The reprint order information includes frame position data concerning the position of a target frame to be printed in association with a condition thereof, and is held in a film piece holder in which the plurality of film pieces are held in an end flush state and according to a predetermined arranging order and print number data concerning the total number of reprints to be obtained from the target frame. Based on this frame position data, one film piece containing the target frame from the plurality of film pieces is determined and the position of the target frame within the specified film piece is also determined.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 1999Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co. Ltd.Inventor: Yasutaka Kayama

Patent number: 5966198Abstract: A printer/processor for performing printing processes on both piece negatives taken out of a negative sheet and an elongate negative film. This printer/processor includes a negative sheet loader (2a) for receiving the negative sheet (10) containing the piece negatives (NP), a handling device (6) for drawing the piece negatives out of the negative sheet, an elongate negative film inlet (2c) for receiving the elongate negative film NF, a transport line (130) extending to an exposing section (110), and a branching device (8) selectively movable between a first position to form a passage for connecting the handling device and the transport line, and a second position to form a passage for connecting the elongate negative film inlet and the transport line.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1997Date of Patent: October 12, 1999Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co, LtdInventors: Yuji Yamamoto, Hidetoshi Nishikawa, Yasutaka Kayama

Patent number: 5923405Abstract: A film holder holds a plurality of film pieces which are obtained by cutting a film having a plurality of frames between the forward and rear longitudinal ends. The film pieces are cut from the film in such a manner that the first and the last two pieces will contain fewer frames than a predetermined total number of frames while the others will contain the predetermined total number of frames. The invention provides a method and a system capable of specifying a position of a designated frame in these film pieces as held in the holder based on a serial frame number of a first reference frame selected from the frames contained in the second to last film piece and a serial frame number of a second frame selected so as to allow determination of the total number of the frames contained in the second to last film piece.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1997Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yasutaka Kayama

Patent number: 5706075Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus capable of controlling the duration of voltages applied to line exposure elements in proportion to the gray levels of a color to produce a gentle gradation of the color. This is achieved in the present invention by converting exposure data into compensated exposure data in which the duration of the exposure operation is compensated according to predetermined characteristics. The duration of the exposure operation of the exposure device is then controlled according to the compensated exposure data to thereby produce a smooth, high quality gradation of color.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1995Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Noritsu Koki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masazumi Ishikawa, Tohru Tanibata, Yasutaka Kayama
