  • Publication number: 20060239939
Abstract: It is intended to provide deodorant compositions which are nondetrimental to the environment and yet exhibit an excellent deodorizing effect on a wide range of offensive odor components including lower fatty acids. It is also intended to provide deodorant compositions giving off little or no foul odor derived from the substrate as time passes, which is different from the offensive odor to be deodorized. This is accomplished with deodorant compositions containing lignin and an enzyme which oxidizes phenolic compounds. Preferable examples of the lignin include water-soluble lignosulfonic acid and its salt. These compositions may further contain a fragrance and/or a flavor.
