  • Patent number: 8043541
Abstract: Various embodiments of a mold assembly system include a mold defining at least one trench along a surface of the mold and two or more hook fastener elements disposed on the surface of the trench in an end-to-end relationship. Each hook fastener elements includes: (1) an elongated base, (2) a plurality of hooks extending upwardly from an upper surface of the base, and (3) a magnetic material disposed within the base. The hook fastener elements are unattached to each other and are separately disposed within the trench, and the magnetic portion of the trench is configured to attract the hook fastener elements toward the magnetic portion and hold the hook fastener elements adjacent thereto in an end-to-end relationship substantially along the length of the trench. In one embodiment, the hook fastener elements are substantially the same length and are usable in straight trenches, curved trenches, or trenches having various lengths.

  • Patent number: 6638052
Abstract: A drilling apparatus, in which a hole and an insertion hole for a drilling rod are formed at a drilling position of a table and at a sheet pressing member capable of approaching or leaving a surface of the table, respectively, the drilling rod made of metal, capable of rotating at high speeds and reciprocating vertically are inserted through the both holes, the drilling rod has smooth peripheral and front end faces composed of at least part of a circular section having no blade, and a predetermined clearance is provided between the diameters of the hole and the insertion hole and the diameter of the drilling rod, whereby by pressing the drilling rod rotating at high speeds to the sheet, a sheet material is melted by frictional heat so that a beautiful hole is formed.

  • Patent number: 6092479
Abstract: In the apparatus, a lateral supply section is provided on one side of a fly-conveying passage, and an angle-changing member with a desired inclination angle is provided on the other side of the fly-conveying passage. A fly is supplied from the lateral supply section so as to abut on the angle-changing member and to be displaced at the desired inclination angle, then the fly is conveyed to a sewing section by a first longitudinal conveying belt and a second longitudinal conveying belt provided at a conveying section with the displacement of the fly being maintained. Thereafter, a slide fastener chain is placed and sewn onto the fly, thereby mechanically manufacturing the fly to which the slide fastener chain is sewn diagonally. The thus finished fly with the slide fastener chain is good and uniform in quality while its manufacturing can be efficient.
