  • Patent number: 4903060
Abstract: Disclosed is a photographic film-feeding apparatus for positioning picture frames of a film to an exposure position in a camera, wherein there is provided a feeding mechanism which is controlled so as to wind or rewind the film by two frames in response to every picture-taking operation. When starting the rewinding process, the feeding mechanism is further controlled so that the film is rewound so as to position a picture frame being adjacent to the latest exposed frame in the winding process to the exposure position and thereafter the film is rewound by two frames.

  • Patent number: 4497563
Abstract: An automatic exposure control method and device has photometry means for detecting the brightness of a subject and providing an output signal in response thereto, a shutter, driving means for driving the shutter toward a full aperture, closing means for closing the shutter in accordance with the output signal from the photometry means, and adjusting means for adjusting the photometry means in a stepwise manner to provide the output signal variably in accordance with the light detected and the opening position of the shutter. In one embodiment, the driving means for opening the shutter engages a series of contacts for correspondingly short-circuiting photoelectric elements providing the electrical signal output, thereby varying in a stepwise manner the charging of a capacitor in a comparator circuit for disengaging a solenoid controlling the shutter closing means.

  • Patent number: 4458997
Abstract: A single lens reflex camera is provided with a photocell so positioned in the camera as to receive thereon light incident through the lens and reflected onto the photocell by the mirror. During each photographing operation, the mirror is pivotally elevated so that the incident light is no longer received by the photocell. The camera electronics monitors the photocell output which is representative of the magnitude of light received by the photocell and, unless a relatively rapid change in photocell output is detected during a photographing operation, an alarm is actuated to indicate failure of the mirror to properly pivot.

  • Patent number: 4274726
Abstract: An automatic film winding device for camera comprising the film winding member of which the outer peripheral portion at one end is formed larger in diameter than the other outer peripheral portion. The automatic film winding device for camera comprises a pressing means mounted on a camera body for pressing the narrowed leading end of the film against the outer peripheral surface of the film winding member at the position where the leading end of the film is received into the film winding chamber. The pressing means is so set that its pressing position corresponds to a part of the cut edge of the narrowed leading end portion of the film, and mounted on the inner surface of a back cover and urged by spring means so as to be capable of pressing the leading end of the film to the film winding member in the winding operation.

  • Patent number: 4218121
Abstract: An automatic aperture driving mechanism for a camera, comprising an aperture control ring, a regulating means adapted to regulate the aperture control ring in the aperture closing direction, a reset driving means engaging the aperture control ring and a motor, an aperture ring, and an aperture driving lever operatively connected to the aperture ring and adapted to be moved together with the aperture controlling ring. The reset driving means has a gear train including gears having non-toothed portions so that the power transmitting connection of the gear train may be broken. The regulating means includes a pawl adapted to directly engage the aperture control ring so as to hold the latter in the aperture opening position, a ratchet wheel shunting from the gear train, and a regulating pawl engageable with the ratchet wheel and adapted to regulate the condition of the aperture upon engagement with the ratchet wheel.

  • Patent number: 4204759
Abstract: A camera with built-in motor having a motor disposed horizontally at the central bottom portion of the camera body and out of path of the input light for driving various drive mechanisms necessary for the photographing. Said motor has two output shafts extending out of the housing of the motor, so that two or more loads may be simultaneously driven by the motor. Said mechanisms are suitably sorted into groups by the magnitudes of the loads imparted by these mechanisms, and these groups are driven by the motor in such a sequence as to maintain a substantially constant level of load on the motor in relation to time.
