  • Publication number: 20070271899
Abstract: The sensible heat of an exhaust gas of a power generator, a combustion device, or a transport device 21 in a virtual area wherein a plurality of energy-consuming devices 23 are provided (energy supply and demand grid) is recovered as H2 or CO+H2 by reforming dimethyl ether (DME); and the H2 or CO+H2 is supplied as fuel for the energy-consuming devices 23 or as a chemical raw material within the energy supply and demand grid or to another energy supply and demand grid. By forming an energy cycle in society using DME, for example, waste heat of factories and electric power plants can be effectively utilized as energy in society as a whole, e.g., as energy for consumers or transportation.

  • Patent number: 4922994
Abstract: An apparatus for pouring molten steel into a mold in continuous casting of steel according to the present invention comprises a tundish holding molten steel; a nozzle which is set at the bottom of said tundish, the nozzle having a spherical shape and through which molten steel flows out of said tundish; a sliding plate which is set at the lower portion of said nozzle and which opens and closes said nozzle; an immersion nozzle which is set under said sliding plate and through which molten steel is poured into the mold; and a block body which has a core body therein, whose outer layer is made from refractory material and has a spherical surface large enough to cover the opening of said nozzle and whose bulk specific gravity ranges between the bulk specific gravity of slag and that of molten steel. A disc-shaped flange is coupled to the spherical surface portion.

  • Patent number: 4661191
Abstract: A method for bonding of a color separation filter comprises placing a color separation filter through an intermediary UV-ray curable type bonding agent on a solid state image pick-up device, effecting registration between the solid state image pick-up device and the color separation filter, then applying irradiation of UV-ray at a luminous intensity of 30 mW/cm.sup.2 or higher from the side of the color separation filter thereby to subject said bonding agent to partial curing, and thereafter applying UV-ray irradiation at a luminous intensity of 5 mW/cm.sup.2 or lower from the side of the color separation filter thereby to subject said bonding agent to full curing.
