  • Patent number: 10926703
Abstract: A door mirror apparatus for a vehicle is provided in which an electric motor is housed within an actuator case disposed within a mirror housing, and the actuator case includes a case member fixed to the mirror housing and a cover member that has a holder support part swingably supporting the mirror holder and is joined to the case member, wherein a motor shaft projects from one end portion along an axial direction of a motor housing of the electric motor, and an end face support projection part that is in line contact with one end portion among opposite end faces in the axial direction of the motor housing is provided integrally with one of the case member and the cover member. This makes it difficult for vibration of the electric motor to be transmitted to the actuator case, thus enabling reduction in noise when operating the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 10730438
Abstract: A vehicle door mirror includes a base member mounted on a side door while having plural mounting holes and plural insertion holes coaxially communicating with the mounting holes, and a mirror housing pivotably supported on a support shaft which has a plurality of bosses, each boss having a tubular portion and ribs extending along an axial direction of the tubular portion. Screw members are inserted through respective ones of the insertion holes and screwed into the tubular portions of the bosses respectively inserted into the mounting holes so that the ribs of each boss abut against an inner peripheral face of the corresponding mounting hole. The ribs are projectingly provided on the outer peripheral face, at least on a base part side, of the corresponding tubular portion. Such arrangement suppresses vibration of the mirror even when the support shaft is made of a synthetic resin.

  • Publication number: 20190359136
Abstract: A door mirror apparatus for a vehicle is provided in which a pair of electric motors are housed within an actuator case disposed within a mirror housing, and the actuator case includes a case member fixed to the mirror housing and a cover member having a holder support part swingably supporting the mirror holder and is joined to the case member, wherein electric motor housing chambers housing the pair of electric motors are formed within the actuator case, a groove opening toward the cover member side is formed in the case member between the electric motor housing chambers, and a projecting wall inserted into the groove is provided on the cover member. This can cut off the transmission of vibration between a pair of electric motor housing chambers, thus enabling noise reduction while eliminating the requirement for high dimensional precision for both a case member and a cover member.

  • Patent number: 10399497
Abstract: A vehicle door mirror in which a pivoting member fixedly housed within a mirror housing on which a mirror is mounted is pivotably supported on a support shaft implanted in a base member mounted on a side door, wherein in order to restrict an end of pivoting of at least one of a forward inclined position and a rearward inclined position of the mirror housing, a restricting face is formed on one of the support shaft and the base member, and a restricting part is provided on the pivoting member, the restricting part being capable of making line contact with the restricting face in one plane orthogonal to an axis of the support shaft. This prevents excessive stress from occurring when restricting the range of pivoting of a mirror housing.

  • Publication number: 20170349101
Abstract: A vehicle door mirror in which a mirror housing is formed by joining a plurality of cover members to each other, is provided, wherein an engagement projection is projectingly provided integrally with one of a pair of cover members, the engagement projection projecting inward from an inner face of the one cover member and having a first engagement claw on an extremity part thereof and a second engagement claw disposed further toward the inner face side of the one cover member than the first engagement claw, and a first latching part and a second latching part are provided integrally with the other of the pair of cover members, the first engagement claw being resiliently engaged with the first latching part, and the second engagement claw being resiliently engaged with the second latching part. Such arrangement prevents the cover members from falling apart due to an external force or vibration.
