A rectifying member can be toggled between a rectifying state for rectification and a retracted state in which the rectifying member is retracted from the rectifying state, and the rectifying member can be kept in the retracted state while the carriage is moving. The rectifying member is toggled to the rectifying state or to the retracted state while the carriage is moving, according to at least one condition from among the distance between the print head and a sheet, and the movement speed of the carriage.
