  • Patent number: 5540180
Abstract: The invention provides a gear position indicating arrangement in an automatic transmission shift control device which makes it possible to obtain two kinds of devices, i.e., one for a right-hand drive vehicle and one for a left-hand drive vehicle, using a number of common parts. In the device, a base bracket is a common part and can be used for both of the kinds. An indicator cover to be installed on the base bracket can also be used for both of the kinds by reversing the front and rear ends thereof in case of a left-hand drive vehicle as compared with those in case of a right-hand drive vehicle. A bulb case is a part independent from the indicator cover and the base bracket and adapted to be fastened to a right-hand side of the base bracket in case of a right-hand drive vehicle and to a left-hand side of the base bracket in case of a left-hand drive vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5497673
Abstract: An automatic transmission operating device for changing an operating range of an automatic transmission mounted on an automotive vehicle. The automatic transmission operating device comprises a pair of bearing sections which are located separate from each other and fixedly connected to a base fixed to a vehicle floor. Each bearing section includes a generally cylindrical portion having a generally C-shaped cross-section so as to define a cutout groove. A base member for a shift lever is provided including a shaft section which is formed at its opposite ends with a pair of end projections. The end projections are rotatably disposed respectively inside the cylindrical portions of the bearing sections. Each end projection is generally oval-shape in cross-section so as to form two opposite end faces and two opposite side faces. The end faces are in sliding contact with the inner surface of the cylindrical portion of the bearing section.

  • Patent number: 5188001
Abstract: An accelerator pedal device comprises a pedal lever having a pivot shaft which is pivotally supported by a fixed support bracket. The pedal lever is biased in such a direction that an upper part of the pedal lever approaches a fixed stopper member. A first auxiliary lever is pivotally supported by the pivot shaft and has a first upper portion located between the stopper member and the upper part of the pedal lever. A second auxiliary lever is pivotally supported by the pivot shaft and has a second upper portion located between the first upper portion and the upper part of the pedal lever. A first lost-motion mechanism is provided between the pedal lever and the second auxiliary lever, and a second lost-motion mechanism is provided between the second and first auxiliary levers.
