  • Publication number: 20130051718
Abstract: A ball bearing with seals on both sides is provided which is configured such that the pressure in the bearing interior is less likely to drop when a belt guide ring cools after it has been formed by resin molding, thus preventing the inwardly extending lip of each rubber seal from being pressed against the inner side surface of the seal groove. The belt guide ring (21) is formed on the radially outer surface of an outer race (2) of the bearing. Seal fitting grooves (8) are formed on the radially inner surface of the outer race (2) at its respective end portions. A rubber seal (10) has its radially outer portion fitted in each seal fitting groove (8).

  • Patent number: 5010756
Abstract: A method of and a device for controlling a counter of a rolled material on a multi-high rolling mill with which method and device very accurate shape control can be attained with certainty and in high responsibility. A strip shape of a rolled material in its widthwise direction on the outgoing side of the rolling mill is detected by a strip shape meter, and the detected shape and a strip thickness are synthetically evaluated using a total performance index. Operation amounts for a strip shape controlling actuator and a strip thickness controlling actuator which make the value of the total performance index minimum are always found out, and the actuators are controlled simultaneously in accordance with the operation amounts to control the strip shape of the rolled material. The apparatus comprises a saddle receiver the vertical position of which is controlled by a roll gap controlling device in accordance with an estimated value to change the gap between upper and lower work rolls of the rolling mill.

  • Patent number: 4984068
Abstract: A motion detector detects motion of pictures represented by a composite color television signal and generates a motion signal representing the detected motion of pictures. A spatiotemporal filter extracts a color signal from the composite color television signal. A subtractor subtracts the color signal from the composite color television signal and thereby generates a luminance signal. The spatiotemporal filter includes a spatial filter. A pass band of the spatial filler is varied in accordance with the motion signal.

  • Patent number: 4577277
Abstract: A method and apparatus of continuous casting with the use of a mold oscillating system adapted to oscillate a casting mold supported by a oscillating frame, the method including oscillating the mold by applying vibration at a preselected frequency higher than the natural frequency of the oscillating system; and increasing the amplitude of applied oscillation to a value in a range as determined by the ratio of a length of time of a downward movement period of the mold to a time length in which the speed of the mold exceeds the casting speed during the downward period. Preferably the preselected frequency of applied oscillation of the mold is approximately 1.5 times higher than the natural frequency of the oscillating frame.
