Abstract: A process for determining the type of a diamond having spin properties and physical properties, said process including the steps of: (i) determining the spin properties of a diamond of unknown type, using optically detected magnetic resonance to measure the spin properties of said diamond of an unknown type, wherein the spin properties are indicative of the physical properties of the diamond; (ii) comparing the spin properties of said unknown diamond with the spin properties of a plurality of diamonds of known types; and (iii) determining the type of said diamond of unknown type upon a predetermined threshold of correlation between the spin properties of said diamond of unknown type with the spin properties of a diamond of known type of said plurality of diamonds known types.

Abstract: A solar panel or a plurality of solar panels may each have a length and a cross-section, wherein the solar panel cylinder has an elliptically-shaped cross-section, wherein the elliptically-shaped cross-section is defined by an equation xn/an+yn/bn=1, wherein the value of n is greater than or equal to 2, and wherein a and b are any positive numbers. The solar panels may also be planar with a plurality of solar panels mounted to a frame, having the frame mounted vertically to a vertical rod, and turning the rotatable rod about an axis. In another aspect of this technology a methodology of installing and positioning solar panels is implemented for maximizing the number of panels to be installed on and above a given ground area, and/or positioning for peak electrical output.

Abstract: A mass indoor production of vegetation system maintains a train in a stationary position on a rail system inside an indoor enclosure during a growing period of vegetation. The train has a plurality of plant-pots interconnected by a plurality of push-pull bars. Each of the plant-pots contains at least one plant. The train of the plant-pots may be moved on the rail system in either direction by pushing or pulling the plurality of push-pull bars. The plurality of plant-pots may be pulled out of the indoor enclosure during a time of harvesting the plant.

Abstract: A system for processing a crop that is harvested from a field is disclosed. The system includes sorting the crop in-situ, washing the crop in-situ, blanching the crop in-situ, freezing the crop in-situ; and packaging the crop in-situ. The crop may comprise edamame pods.

The processor is configured to control the Peltier device and the waste heat recycling circuit. The invention can effectively utilize the waste heat generated by cooling and improve the cooling efficiency.

Abstract: Devices and methodology for reducing the aerodynamic drag of a semi-trailer truck are disclosed. The current devices and methodology reduce the aerodynamic drag by diverting the airflow around the truck resulting in reducing the low pressure or adding pressure to the low pressure in the aerodynamic wake behind the tractor and the trailer.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus for preparation of a potsticker food product, having: a bag; the potsticker food product within the bag; and wherein the bag defines at least one air gap through the bag. The disclosure further relates to a potsticker manufacturing process, having the steps of: placing a potsticker food product in a bag; sealing the bag; and creating at least one air gap through the bag. Additionally, the disclosure relates to a potsticker preparation process, having the steps of: microwaving a potsticker food product in a bag to create steam; and steaming and venting the steam through at least one air gap through the bag.

Abstract: A brush plate has an insulating substrate, at least one pair of brushes mounted on the insulating substrate, and a conductor for supplying power to the brushes. The conductor includes at least one overheat protection portion having a smaller cross sectional area than adjacent portions of the conductor. By integrally forming the overheat protection portions on the conductors, no extra overheat protection device is required. Preferably, the overheat protection portion has a bent structure. The bent structure may be U-shape, Z-shape, M-shape or wave-shape. The bent structure can increase the anti-shock capability of the conductor and shorten the response time of the overheat protection portion.

Abstract: Edamame within a microwave bowl is introduced for preparation of an edamame food product. The pod count of the edamame product is within a range of about 145 to 170 pods per 500 grams of the edamame product. A volume of moisture is added into the microwaveable bowl with the edamame product. A top film is sealed across a rim of the microwaveable bowl and then the edamame product is frozen. Subsequently several sealed microwaveable bowls are packaged together in a box.

Abstract: Anamorphic lenses within a video projector introduce distortion to the projected image due to the material makeup of the anamorphic lenses. The distortions can be identified and compensations can be determined. The compensations can be digitally applied to input video signals to reduce the distortion in the projected image.

Abstract: The dimensions of a viewing screen are altered to fit the aspect ratio of video being displayed on the viewing screen. A viewing screen includes screen covers which may be displaced horizontally along the viewing screen. If a different aspect ratio video is being displayed, the screen covers are moved horizontally to increase or decrease the viewing area of the viewing screen. The video is then optically resized and shifted to fit the height or width of the screen.

Abstract: A video projector generates a black screen. Further, the video projector reduces the brightness of the light source which reduces the power level of the video projection system. Since the light source's power is reduced, less heat is generated by the video projector and the video projector's cooling fan may be slowed down. As a result, the video projector produces less noise.
