  • Patent number: 9417759
Abstract: A system for synchronizing data across multiple browser tabs or windows includes a synchronization module and shared synchronization storage. The shared synchronization storage is local storage of the browser and is utilized by a plurality of browser windows, a plurality of tabs or a browser window and tab. The shared synchronization storage is used to store information about notifications and a timestamp as to when that information was retrieved from the notification server. The synchronization module is responsive to requests for updates from the notification client module. The synchronization module accesses the shared synchronization storage to determine whether notification information stored there is current and if so provides that notification information from the shared synchronization storage to the notification client module. If notification information stored locally is not current, the synchronization module cooperates with the notification server to retrieve current notification information.

  • Publication number: 20160004410
Abstract: A system for processing cursor movements for predictive fetching includes a notification server, a notification client module, and a movement processing and predictive fetching module. The notification server is coupled to other systems to receive notification information. The notification client module is coupled to retrieve notification information from the notification server. The movement processing and predictive fetching module is configured to capture and detect cursor movements on a client device. The movement processing and predictive fetching module determines the direction and deceleration of the cursor. If the movement is decelerating and in the direction of the notification button on the user interface, the movement processing and predictive fetching module generates a signal for the notification client module to pre-fetch notification information from the notification server.

  • Publication number: 20060196098
Abstract: A weapon system in accordance with the present invention includes a rifle, a thermal sight that is mounted to the rifle, a helmet and a remote visual display that mounted to the helmet. The weapons system further includes an interconnecting means that connects the remote visual display to the thermal sight. The interconnecting means includes a first cable that is semi-permanently connected to a video port on the thermal sight and has a free end that terminates at a jack. A second video cable is permanently wired to the remote visual display and has a free end that terminates at a plug. To sight the hand-carried weapon without having to look through the sight, the jack is inserted into the plug, to thereby provide video from the sight to the remote visual display. The user fired the rifle from behind cover by viewing the sight reticles through the remote display.
