  • Patent number: 10148110
Abstract: A charging device and a control method for the charging device are provided. The charging device includes an AC/DC converting circuit and a main controller. The main controller includes a first modulation module and a second modulation module. The operation of the switching circuit controlled by the second modulation module consumes less amount of electric energy than the operation of the switching circuit controlled by the first modulation module. When the charging device is in the heavy load condition, the first modulation module is enabled to control the operation of the switching circuit. When the charging device is in the light load condition or the no load condition, the second modulation module is enabled to control the operation of the switching circuit. Consequently, the power consumption of the charging device in the light load condition or the no load condition is reduced.

  • Patent number: 9515505
Abstract: A charging method is provided for charging a battery unit. Firstly, a current change amount is set, and a predetermined time interval is determined according to characteristics of the battery unit. When the charging device is enabled, a charging current with a constant current value is provided to charge the battery unit. If a detected parameter of the battery unit reaches the threshold value, a constant charging voltage is provided to the battery unit. Moreover, the current value of the charging current is decreased by the current change amount. The number of times the current change amount is decreased is determined according to a predetermined counting value. That is, the current value of the charging current is stepwise decreased according to a time control mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20110316471
Abstract: A battery control system includes N batteries, N control switches, a solar energy charging module, and a processing module, wherein N is a positive integer larger than one. The N batteries are arranged in parallel, each of the control switches is connected to one of the batteries, and the solar energy charging module is connected to the control switches. The processing module is connected to the control switches and the solar energy charging module. The processing module selectively controls the i-th control switch to form a close circuit between the corresponding i-th battery and the solar energy charging module and controls the other N?1 control switches to form open circuits between the corresponding N?1 batteries and the solar energy charging module, wherein i is a positive integer smaller than or equal to N.
