Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for joint optimization of price multipliers and coupons in a ride-hailing platform are disclosed. An exemplary method comprises: obtaining a plurality of spatial-temporal pricing units and a plurality of rider segments; constructing a plurality of key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, wherein each of the KPI metrics takes input comprising (1) the price adjustment multiplier applied to a given trip and (2) the rider coupon applied to a rider of the given trip, and generates output comprising a KPI value of the given trip; constructing an optimization problem that maximizes a weighted sum of the plurality of KPI metrics with a vector of price-adjustment-multiplier decision variables and a matrix of rider-coupon decision variables; and determining, by solving the optimization problem, a plurality of optimal price adjustment multipliers and a plurality of optimal rider coupons.

Abstract: A dialysis method and system for determining an amount of total chlorine in a partially purified water sample is disclosed. The system includes a water machine that produces at least partially purified water including an at least partially purified water sample and a dialysis machine that provides a dialysis treatment to a patient. The dialysis machine receives the at least partially purified water from the water machine to prepare dialysis fluid for the dialysis treatment. The system also includes a total chlorine detector configured to receive the at least partially purified water sample, at a first time apply a source voltage to the at least partially purified water sample, and at a second time stop applying the source voltage to the at least partially purified water sample and instead monitor a sensed electrical parameter to determine an amount of total chlorine in the at least partially purified water sample.

Abstract: In an embodiment, yield data representing yields of crops that have been harvested from an agricultural field and field characteristics data representing characteristics of the agricultural field is received and used to determine a plurality of management zone delineation options. Each option, of the plurality of management zone delineation options, comprises zone layout data for an option. The plurality of management zone delineation options is determined by: determining a plurality of count values for a management class count; generating, for each count value, a management delineation option by clustering the yield data from and the field characteristics data, assigning zones to clusters, and including the zones in a management zone delineation option. One or more options from the plurality of management zone delineation options are selected and used to determine one or more planting plans. A graphical representation of the options and the planting plans is displayed for a user.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an information providing method for an on-demand service. The method may include receiving service request information from a passenger of a passenger terminal device. The service request information may include a departure location of the passenger. The method may further include acquiring historical service request information related to the passenger; and determining travel-route-related information based at least in part on the departure location of the passenger and the historical service request information. Also disclosed is a system for implementing the method.

Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for recycling lead paste in a spent lead-acid battery, comprising: (1) pretreating lead paste in a spent lead-acid battery as a raw material under vacuum; mixing the pretreated lead paste with a chlorination reagent to obtain reactants; and heating the reactants under vacuum to carry out a chlorination volatilization reaction, so that lead element in the pretreated lead paste is combined with chlorine element in the chlorination reagent to form lead chloride, which is then volatilized, and after the reaction is completed, chlorination residue and a crude lead chloride product are obtained by condensation and crystallization after volatilization; (2) purifying the crude lead chloride product obtained in the step (1) under vacuum to obtain a refined lead chloride product.

Abstract: A system information block (SIB) in a radio interface is dedicated to broadcast data intended for Internet of things (IoT) devices. The data can be associated with most any IoT service, such as but not limited to, a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and/or vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service. In one aspect, data, associated with an event, that has been aggregated from one or more IoT devices located within a region can be analyzed to determine a geographical area where a message regarding the event (e.g., accident) is to be broadcast. Further, the message can be dynamically prioritized and/or customized to target a particular class of IoT devices (e.g., connected cars) by employing different message identifiers.

Abstract: The capacitance-grating type digital display measuring tape includes a shell, a tape box, a tape body and a capacitance-grating sensor. A rotatable central shaft is disposed in the shell in an axial direction thereof. The tape box is mounted at one side in the shell close to the back side in the shell by the central shaft. A mainspring configured to pre-tighten the tape box is disposed in the tape box. The tape body is wound and collected in a groove in the outer circumference of the tape box. The capacitance-grating sensor is located in a position close to the front side in the shell. A self-adjusting mechanism is disposed at a position, corresponding to the outlet, on the inner wall of the shell. The self-adjusting mechanism automatically adjusts the speed at which the tape body extends out of or retracts into the shell.

For the plurality of intended circuit layout patterns, a corresponding plurality of sets of fabrication risk assessments corresponding to respective ones of a plurality of sources is determined. Determining a set of fabrication risk assessments for an intended circuit layout pattern comprises determining fabrication risk assessments based at least in part on: simulation of the intended circuit layout pattern, statistical analysis of the intended circuit layout pattern, and evaluation of empirical data associated with a printed circuit layout pattern. A scoring formula is applied based at least in part on the sets of fabrication risk assessments to obtain a plurality of overall fabrication risk assessments for respective ones of the plurality of intended circuit layout patterns.

Abstract: A method for locating text in an image is provided. Binarization processing is performed on the image, to set pixel points corresponding to text in the image to a specified color, and a binary image is obtained. A connected domain of pixels of the specified color in the binary image is detected, to obtain a candidate connected region. Connected domain candidate boundaries corresponding to a text region are extracted from the binary image, and the extracting is based on boundaries of the candidate connected region in the binary image and a text arrangement direction. The text region is obtained in the image by using the connected domain candidate boundaries.
