  • Publication number: 20220055479
Abstract: A vehicular head-up display system provides a driver with two virtual images in different image distances, wherein each of the virtual images utilizes all pixels of a single image source. Linearly polarized light beams, which are emanated from the image source, pass through a dynamic polarization converter, whereby to form two image light beams with orthogonal polarization states that are switched fast for time-multiplexing. The two image light beams are selected by a polarization selection component for transmission and reflection respectively. The reflected image light beam is handled by an optical relay component to form an intermediate image. A curved mirror reflects the two image light beams to a virtual image reflecting surface to form two virtual images in different virtual image distances in respect to eyes of a driver in front of the virtual image reflecting surface.

  • Patent number: 7196778
Abstract: A circuitry for measuring a time interval with ring oscillator has a ring oscillator formed by a plurality of delay switching units, a counter and an encoder. Wherein, the ring oscillator generates a plurality of oscillating signals when receives a pulse signal used to turn on or turn off the ring oscillator. The counter can count the numbers of the oscillating signal during an active period of the pulse signal to generate a counting value. In addition, the encoder encodes the oscillation signals generated by a plurality of delay switching unit with a certain interval of delay time. Therefore, when the pulse signal is disabled to lead to turn off the ring oscillator, one can obtain the time interval of the pulse signal based on the encode data and the counting value.

  • Patent number: 6275755
Abstract: A vehicle impact severity identification device comprises an acceleration detector for generating a vehicle impact acceleration signal. The impact severity identification circuit uses the acceleration signal generated by the acceleration detector and generates an impact severity identification signal at its output port. During an frontal impact, when the acceleration signal exceeds a predetermined start value, the impact severity identification circuit will identify whether the impact is a severe impact based upon a displacement generated from the acceleration signal during a predetermined period.
