  • Patent number: 12046834
Abstract: An antenna for use in a distributed antenna system includes: (a) a feeding circuit on a first side of a first dielectric defining a planar edge perpendicular to the first side, a coplanar waveguide comprising a signal feed and a signal return coplanar with and interfittingly apart from the signal feed; (b) a radiator circuit on a second side of a second dielectric, a monopole radiator and a radiator return being copolanar and spaced apart from each other, the first dielectric capacitively coupling the signal feed to the monopole radiator; and (c) an edge connection along the planar edge for electrically connecting the signal return to the radiator return. A cover encloses the feeding circuit, including its impedance matching, in a water-resistant enclosure. The antenna ceiling-mounts indoors, is coated with a fire-resistant coating, and is operable at VHF (132-174 MHz), UHF (350-520 MHz), and 698-960 MHz.

  • Publication number: 20070259092
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a brewing filter apparatus capable of preparing foam, froth, or crema, particularly for coffee beverages, under low pressure. The apparatus can operate at pressures below 15 bar and as low as 1-3 bar. The apparatus comprises a mesh cover, coarse filter, fine filter, large O-ring, coffee container, small O-ring, and foam maker having two opposing holes. The holes have a diameter in the range of 0.3 to 1 mm. The crema is created by the turbulent contacting of two opposing jets of coffee, which enter the foam maker through the two opposing holes. To further increase agitation and the surface area for contact, a stainless steel wire mesh may be situated in the center of the foam maker directly in the path of and in between the opposing jets of coffee to facilitate the formation of more crema.

  • Publication number: 20050172821
Abstract: This invention provides a locking device sustaining high pressure in a coffee maker which comprises a brew head assembly which comprises: a slide assembly, a sealing assembly, and a pop-up and roll-back assembly, operatively linked to sustain pressure up to four (4) bars. Additionally, this invention provides a method for one-hand operation of the locking device of a coffee maker comprising steps of: a) Pushing the lever inward, causing the push rod to push the slider inward, engaging the cams and corresponding recesses, or alternatively, the slider will move inward, turning the rotatable locking hooks into their corresponding recesses so the brew head is locked; b) Pulling the lever outward, causing the push rod that is assembled on the slider to pull the slider outward so that the brew head is released; and c) after releasing the lock, the lift platform will pop up, assisted by the lift platform spring and the lid mount will roll-back, assisted by the hinge spring.
