Abstract: A video management storage system for cloud storage is disclosed. The storage system comprises at least one video camera configured to record video, a recording gateway coupled to the cloud storage and the at least one video camera configured to store the record video in a first folder, wherein the recording gateway includes a video management storage archiver configured to perform a file to many object conversion of the record video from the first folder to a second folder and retains a meta-data object mapping file of the file to many object conversion before transferring the many objects to the cloud storage.

Abstract: A video surveillance system comprises internet protocol (“IP”) cameras; a network; and cloud computing resources having a management resource, a video storage resource, and a viewing and control resource. The IP cameras and cloud computing resources are connected via the network. The IP cameras independently access each of the cloud computing resources. An application software of a device connected to the network identifies one or more objects of interest from the video data of the IP cameras for extraction.

Abstract: A method for indicating an overload condition of a data storage system, comprises the steps of: defining one or more load indexes, wherein each of the load indexes has an overload threshold; and if one of the load indexes has met its respective overload threshold, providing an indicator of the overload condition of the storage system, else, monitoring the load indexes.

Abstract: A method for storing data, comprises the steps of: defining one or more intervals for one or more virtual disks, wherein each of the intervals has data; receiving a storage command in a cache, wherein the command having a logical address and a data block; determining a respective interval for the data block corresponding to the logical address of the data block; determining whether the data of the respective interval is to be written to a corresponding storage unit; and receiving a next storage command.

Abstract: An adapter unit operative to support access of an SATA storage device by a plurality of hosts associated with separate host adapters. The adapter unit includes a multiplexer coupled to an arbiter. The multiplexer receives a plurality of sets of communication signals, one signal set for each host adapter. The multiplexer then selects one of the signal sets based on a control signal and couples the selected signal set to its output. The arbiter receives requests from the hosts to access the SATA storage device, selects a particular requesting host, and provides the control signal indicative of the specific host granted access. The host adapter for the granted host and the SATA storage device are placed in a PHY READY power management state, prior to a read or write access, and are placed in a PARTIAL power management state after the read or write access.
