Patent number: 11913659Abstract: A computer system provides a method for analyzing various parameters, variables and/or conditions associated with the operation of HVAC systems. Some example computer systems display a coordinate system with multiple graphs of variables and conditions having disparate units of measure, such as degrees Centigrade, percent, ppm, on/off, etc. In some examples, variables and conditions with similar units of measure are grouped together. The groups of similar units are plotted along different segments of the coordinate system's y-axis. The segments and their respective graphs of similar units are distributed vertically, one above the other. All of the graphs, however, share a common x-axis, which is labeled in units of time. This makes it easier to visually compare multiple, disparate variables and conditions at particular points in time. When an HVAC related problem occurs, the visual comparisons can help identify the problem and its source.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Foong Yeen Chan, Zhongshengyun Gao, Prabhat Ranjan, Bhavesh Gupta, Gutha Stalin Sanghamitra, Ashu Rawat

Patent number: 11499738Abstract: A building management system, such as a small or medium business, having one or more control devices. Assigning codes to devices, and reading and listing them may aid in configuring the devices. Templates may be used for dynamic configuration of devices and equipment. Representing terminal assignments and wiring diagrams of control devices may be intuitive in that they resemble real hardware for ease of complete installation. The present system and approach may provide an intuitive way of securely registering devices with cloud usage, for example, involving a mobile phone with no manual entry of data so that a user can complete this process with ease. An intuitive, automatic and asynchronous device configuration downloading may be seen, such as to multiple control devices in a single shot. There may be seamless configuration data synchronization, for example, in view of replacement devices, or so the latest data is readily available.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2020Date of Patent: November 15, 2022Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Shreya Ratakonda, Nagasree Poluri, Foong Yeen Chan, Prabhat Ranjan, Ashu Rawat

Publication number: 20210400034Abstract: A system and method for configuring an HVAC thermostat provides multiple users of varying rank with different levels of permission to access different sets of thermostat functions. The thermostat distinguishes users by the passcodes they enter. In some examples, a cascade hierarchy enables multiple levels of higher ranking users to limit the function accessibility of lower ranking users. In some examples, higher ranking users determine which home screen is presented to users that do not enter a passcode.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Ji Zhang, Zhiguo Di, Yidan Zhao, Foong Yeen Chan, Kristine Lichtscheidl, Ashu Rawat, Gutha Stalin Sanghamitra

Patent number: 11019194Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium includes instructions for commissioning a power meter that has a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication capability, the instructions, when executed by one or more processors of a mobile device, cause the mobile device to discover the presence of the power meter by recognizing a signal produced by the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication capability of the power meter and receive a unique identifier for the power meter. When the received unique identifier matches a unique identifier stored by the power meter, the mobile device will establish a communication link between the mobile device and the power meter using the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication capability of the power meter and will transmit one or more commissioning parameters to the power meter via the established communication link between the mobile device and the power meter.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2019Date of Patent: May 25, 2021Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Sinan Qi, Foong Yeen Chan, Chen Xu, Wenbin Zhou, Peilin Li, Sven Suetterlin

Publication number: 20050208712Abstract: A MOSFET device structure formed on a silicon on insulator layer, and a process sequence employed to fabricate said MOSFET device structure, has been developed. The process features insulator filled, shallow trench isolation (STI) regions formed in specific locations of the MOSFET device structure for purposes of reducing the risk of parasitic transistor formation underlying a gate structure junction. After formation of either a “T” shaped, or an “H” shaped gate structure, body contact regions of a first conductivity type are formed adjacent to both an STI region and to a component of the gate structure. Formation of a source/drain region of a second conductivity type located on the opposite side of the same STI region, and the same gate structure component, is next performed. Unwanted parasitic transistor formation, which can occur underlying the gate structure via the body contact region and the source/drain region, is prevented by the presence of the separating STI region.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2005Publication date: September 22, 2005Inventors: Yeen Chan, Kheng Tee, Yiang Nga, Zhao Lun, Wang Goh, Diing Ang

Patent number: 6467278Abstract: A cooling system to reduce damage resulting from panel singulation is provided. A panel may be formed by encapsulating a lead frame with mounted dice. The encapsulating material may be a composite, plastic, or ceramic. Singulation may be a cutting done by laser, water jet, or saw. A chiller system cools a fluid, such as water, to a temperature below 16° C. The cooled fluid is dispensed to a part of the panel being singulated. For example, if a circular saw is used to cut the panel, a plurality of nozzles may be used to direct the fluid to the part of the saw cutting the panel, which defines the part of the panel being singulated. The cooled fluid, cools the panel preventing burring, smearing, and melting of metal contacts.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2000Date of Patent: October 22, 2002Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Ah Lek Hu, Sharon Mei Wan Ko, Peng Yeen Chan
