    Abstract: A medical illumination device for illuminating a desired region of a patient, the device being for use by a medical practitioner with a medical instrument, the device including: a housing; at least one light source disposed in the housing; an attachment configuration configured for reversibly attaching the housing to the medical instrument; a reflecting element configured for directing light emitted by the at least one light source on to the desired region of the patient; and a connecting member mechanically connecting the reflecting element and the housing such that, the reflecting element is rotatable in order to selectively direct light emitted by the at least one light source on to the desired region of the patient.
