  • Patent number: 9042863
Abstract: A method for communication includes recording, at a gateway to a network, a generic definition of a service provided to clients of the gateway. The generic definition specifies a first Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) on the network that is associated with the service. At least a first communication between a client and the network is processed at the gateway in order to identify at least a second URI that is referenced from the first URI in a context of the service. Responsively to at least the first communication, an extended definition of the service for the client is automatically created by adding at least the second URI to the generic definition. Use of the service is monitored by applying the extended definition to second communications conveyed by the gateway between the client and the network.

  • Publication number: 20090019149
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for tracking multimedia content includes generating a first feature vector of a first multimedia object, extracting a second multimedia object from a transmission of digital traffic, generating a second feature vector of the second multimedia object, and determining a similarity of the second feature vector to the first feature vector. Responsively to the similarity, the second multimedia object is identified as an instance of the first multimedia object.

  • Publication number: 20050226157
Abstract: A method for class-based per-flow queuing for use with multiple link-sharing hierarchies, where each one of multiple link-sharing hierarchies imposes a different resource allocation program at one or more levels of differentiation, extending from the link root node to each individual data flow. A new queuing decision layer is introduced that considers all hierarchies simultaneously and arrives at a single queuing solution.

  • Patent number: 6754273
Abstract: A method and system are presented for producing an audio/video stream with improved video quality for a given bitrate, using non-standard sampling rates while preserving timely playback by the decoder. The method may include sub-sampling according to a duty cycle and/or time-slapping frames in an audio/visual stream.

  • Patent number: 6744815
Abstract: In a combined audio and video encoding system, the encoding system receiving a stream of video samples and a stream of audio samples, the encoding system producing an encoded video stream from the video samples and an encoded audio stream from the audio samples, a method for synchronizing between the encoded video stream and the encoded audio stream, the method including the steps of monitoring the encoded video stream and the encoded audio stream, detecting the amount of video data accumulated from the encoded video stream in a given time period, detecting the amount of audio data accumulated from the encoded audio stream in a given time period, increasing the number of audio samples in the audio stream, when the accumulated amount of video data is greater than the accumulated amount of audio data and decreasing the number of audio samples in the audio stream, when the accumulated amount of audio data is greater than the accumulated amount of video data.

  • Publication number: 20020194372
Abstract: A method for class-based per-flow queuing across multiple hierarchical link-sharing structures, where each of the structures shares a single link where each of the structures includes a plurality of leaves, where each of the leaves represents a single flow, and where each of the leaves is common to each of the structures, the method including a) providing a leaf selection mechanism operative to enforce a plurality of rules adapted for the multiple hierarchical link-sharing structures, and b) selecting in response to applying the leaf selection mechanism one of the leaves for servicing during a transmission opportunity.

  • Publication number: 20010014123
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method for determining a compression command list of a video signal. The video signal includes a plurality of original frames. The entire video signal is scanned thereby encoding each of the original frames into an Intra-decoded frame, so as to produce an Intra-decoded frame file. It will be noted that this encoding provides information with respect to each of the frames. Then, the Intra-decoded frame file is processed so as to produce an analysis of the activity and complexity of each of the Intra-decoded frames, using the information. Finally, a compression command list is generated. This compression command list determines how and to what extent each of said original is to be compressed, according to the above analysis.

  • Patent number: 5847760
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a system which provide a plurality of compressed presentations for each frame of the original video signal, each presentation provided according to a different bit-rate, wherein the transmitting system selects from the compressed presentations a presentation, which is most suitable for the bit-rate, currently available over the transmission line and transmits it.
