  • Publication number: 20150213726
Abstract: A tutorial-composition system and method for composing an ordered digital tutorial program, adapted to provide an instructive presentation in a pre-selected target subject matter category. The tutorial-composition system includes a main processing unit including an Automatic Training Plan Engine (ATPE) core engine and a managing module, at least two raw-datasources, tutorials database and a computer-readable medium for storing the ordered digital tutorial program. The raw-data-sources may include tutorials databases, other local data sources and remote data sources. The managing module manages the computerized generation of the ordered digital tutorial program. The ATPE core engine is configured to analyze the raw-data-source in two phases: a preprocessing phase, in which a map of possible video stream paths is created, and an automatic processing phase, in which the ordered digital tutorial program is composed.

  • Patent number: 7822148
Abstract: Methods and systems for carrying different signals required for MIMO communication using a single coaxial cable between two endpoints of a distributed antenna system (DAS) network. Original MIMO signals having the same frequency are frequency-separated at a first endpoint of the network. The frequency-separated signals are propagated together over the single coaxial cable and then reconstructed to their original frequency at a second endpoint of the network.

  • Publication number: 20080191941
Abstract: A tentative location of a transmitter in an indoor environment is determined by triangulation, using at least two direction finders. The tentative location is made more accurate by performing at least one added action selected from the following: checking the likelihood that the tentative location is an accurate location by comparing measured transmitter signal strengths with calculated signal strengths, using a known indoor environment structure, using a record of the transmitter movement through the indoor environment for determining whether the transmitter is located in an obscured area of the indoor environment or performing an alignment procedure on the antennas to improve the triangulation.

  • Publication number: 20050143091
Abstract: A system and method or accurate location identification of a mobile cellular telephone in an indoor environment in case of emergency are provided. The system comprises elements of a distributed antenna system (DAS) and at least one location identification unit (LIU) coupled to the DAS and operative to extract the location of the mobile cellular telephone from RF signals obtained from the DAS. The LIU includes a receiver operative to receive the signals, preferably from a base unit (BU) of the DAS, and a processor operative to process the signals. The LIU obtains parameters of the emergency call that define a tuning window from an external system, and, using the tuning window, identifies a remote hub unit (RHU) of the DAS with the highest signal energy at the tuning window as the RHU through which the call was acquired. The location of the mobile cellular telephone is then determined as being in the area covered by this RHU.

  • Publication number: 20040100930
Abstract: In a wireless communication system, each of a plurality of passive antennas is operationally connected to one or more WLAN access points via a respective active component, for example a bidirectional amplifier, of a WLAN service combiner. Optionally, for each antenna, a cross-band duplexer in the WLAN service combiner provides an operational connection to cellular services. Alternatively, the antennas are dedicated to the WLAN access point(s). Such a system provides WLAN services in areas of a building using only enough WLAN access points per area to provide adequate capacity.
