    Abstract: A method for mobility enhancement in wireless communication systems is provided. The method is performed by a User Equipment (UE) configured with a first Small Data Transmission (SDT) configuration by a first cell. The method includes receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) release message including a suspend configuration from the first cell; transitioning to an RRC INACTIVE state in response to receiving the RRC release message; receiving, in the RRC INACTIVE state, a System Information Block Type 1 (SIB1) including a second SDT configuration from a second cell; camping on the second cell in response to receiving the SIB1 from the second cell; and while the UE is camping on the second cell, refraining from using the first SDT configuration to initiate an SDT procedure associated with the second cell in a case that the UE does not support performing the SDT procedure associated with the second cell.

The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a CG configuration for configuring the plurality of CG periods; receiving, from the BS, a radio resource control (RRC) configuration including a first parameter; and determining, for each of the plurality of CG periods, that a CG PUSCH occasion exists in each of a number of consecutive slots within the corresponding CG period, wherein the number of consecutive slots is determined based on the first parameter.

    Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) for reporting UE capability for small data transmission (SDT) are provided. The method includes: receiving control information for scheduling a plurality of physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) or a plurality of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) on the plurality of serving cells; and performing, based on the control information, receptions of the plurality of PDSCHs on the plurality of serving cells or transmissions of the plurality of PUSCHs on the plurality of serving cells. The control information includes a plurality of fields, and the plurality of fields include at least one of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number field, a PDSCH-to-HARQ timing indicator field, and a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) field, and the TDRA field is used to allocate time domain resources for all of the plurality of PDSCHs or all of the plurality of PUSCHs.

The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a system information block (SIB) indicating a duration of a timer for the UL synchronization in the NTN; determining whether an epoch time is provided in the SIB; starting or restarting the timer with the duration at a time determined according to whether the epoch time is provided in the SIB; and determining that the UE has lost the UL synchronization upon an expiration of the timer.

    Abstract: A method for a user equipment (UE) connected to a serving Radio Access Network (RAN) through a serving cell is provided. The serving RAN may include a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). The method receives, from the serving cell, satellite information regarding a coverage area of the serving RAN. After receiving the satellite information, the method determines, based on the satellite information, that the UE will be disconnected from the serving RAN by moving out of the coverage area of the serving RAN after a specific period of time. The method maintains an Access Stratum (AS) layer configuration of the UE without performing any task associated with an Idle mode of the UE while the UE is staying out of the coverage area of the serving RAN.
