Abstract: A power system including a first battery pack, a second battery pack, and a power management circuit is disclosed. The first battery pack has a first end and a second end, and has a first battery capacity. The second battery pack has a third end and a fourth end. The third end is coupled to the second end of the first battery pack and provides a low battery voltage. The fourth end is grounded, the second battery pack has a second battery capacity, and the second battery capacity is greater than the first battery capacity. The power management circuit is coupled to the second battery pack to receive the low battery voltage, and provides a component operating voltage to an electronic components based on the low battery voltage.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a substrate, a dielectric layer disposed over the substrate, and an interconnect structure extending through the dielectric layer. The dielectric layer includes a low-k dielectric material which includes silicon carbonitride having a carbon content ranging from about 30 atomic % to about 45 atomic %. The semiconductor device further includes a thermal dissipation feature extending through the dielectric layer and disposed to be spaced apart from the interconnect structure.

Abstract: A method for remotely executing a command on a mobile device is provided. Here, a command to execute is received at a first mobile device, wherein the command includes a communications command requiring the use of a first communications medium. Then it is determined if the first mobile device can access the first communications medium. When the first mobile device cannot access the first communications medium, the command is forwarded via a second communications medium to a second mobile device for execution. When the first mobile device can access the first communications medium, the command is executed.

Abstract: Any number of mobile devices each execute an application allowing them to subscribe to a group. Alternatively, the devices subscribe at a Web server. A percentage of the group and a distance threshold from a target device are defined. Each device sends its GPS data to a Web server or to one of the designated mobile devices. Alternatively, the target device calculates its distance to the other devices using wireless signals. The designated device or the Web server calculates the distance from the target device to the other devices. If the distance is over the threshold then an alert is generated and sent from the Web server to designated recipients, or sent from the designated device to the recipients. Distance from the target device to the group members may be calculated based upon a majority, a percentage of the group, or a special cluster of the group.
