  • Publication number: 20200125839
Abstract: A system for determining a quantitative accuracy of a test movement relative to a reference movement includes a display output device, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the display output device and the memory. The memory stores motion capture data and programming instructions. The processor executes the programming instructions to determine a quantitative accuracy of the test movement relative to the reference movement. A method, executable by the processor, for determining the quantitative accuracy includes receiving, with the processor, motion capture data that includes the reference movement and the test movement. The motion data is split into individual movements, and the test movement is aligned with the reference movement. The processor computes a quantitative accuracy of the test movement relative to the reference movement, and generates, with the display output device, a visualization representative of the test movement. The computed accuracy is encoded into the visualization.

  • Patent number: 10452439
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for implementing a coordinator within a coordinated environment, which environment includes set of coordinated devices managed by the coordinator. The coordinator can be provisioned with a set of tasks, each task corresponding to a segment of code that can be executed by the coordinator, such as to manage the coordinated devices. To assist in execution of the tasks, the coordinator can include a resource manager that generates execution environments corresponding to an individual task execution, which environments may be isolated from other execution environments. The coordinator can further include a scheduler to obtain calls to execute tasks, and implement a queue from which to select tasks for execution. On selecting a task, the scheduler may interact with the resource manager to generate an execution environment for the task, and cause execution of the task within the execution environment.

  • Patent number: 10424224
Abstract: A glove for use in collecting data for sign language recognition comprises: multiple azimuth sensors arranged on the glove at positions corresponding to the phalanges and metacarpal bones of the hand and used for sensing postures of the hand. The azimuth sensors are only arranged on the glove at positions corresponding to the phalanges of the hand other than the distal phalange in proximity to the fingertip of at least one finger among the middle finger, the index finger, the ring finger, and the little finger. The glove reduces the number of the azimuth sensors arranged on the glove at positions corresponding to the phalanges of the hand, thus reducing costs while not affecting detection performance.

  • Patent number: 10372486
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for configuring a coordinator within a coordinated environment, which environment includes set of coordinated devices managed by the coordinator. The coordinated devices may include devices configured to be managed remotely, such as thin devices, devices with alternative primary functions (e.g., appliances, household objects, etc.), or devices with limited localized user interfaces. To manage the set of coordinated devices, the coordinator can execute tasks, each task corresponding to a set of portable code executable by the coordinator to implement a desired functionality. A user may generate one or more tasks, and submit them to a service provider environment for deployment to the coordinator. The service provider environment can utilize a device shadow to notify the coordinator of the obtained tasks, and thereafter deliver the tasks to the coordinator, thus modifying a configuration of the coordinator.

  • Publication number: 20190188500
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring an object in a low light environment includes an image capturing unit, a vehicle speed unit, an image recognizing unit, and an object determining unit. The image capturing unit continuously captures and outputs time-sliced images. The vehicle speed unit detects and outputs current vehicle speed information. The image recognizing unit recognizes a region having pixel brightness higher than a threshold in each of the time-sliced images and marks the region as a high brightness block. The object determining unit selects at least two successive time-sliced images having high brightness blocks in a continuous corresponding variation relationship from the time-sliced images, generates and outputs estimated speed information, and when the estimated speed information is different from the current vehicle speed information, determines that the high brightness block is a moving object block and monitors the moving object block.
