  • Publication number: 20250227481
Abstract: An embodiment is a method performed by a station (STA) to provide a coordinated bandwidth query report (CBQR) to an access point (AP). The method includes generating a frame that includes an aggregated control (A-control) field, wherein the A-control field includes a CBQR field, wherein the CBQR field includes a basic service set (BSS) color field that carries a BSS color of a BSS and an available channel bitmap field that carries a bitmap indicating subchannel availability at the STA with respect to the BSS. The method further includes transmitting the frame to the AP.

  • Publication number: 20250212240
Abstract: An embodiment is a method performed by a shared access point (AP) to provide coordinated frequency resource information to a sharing AP. The method includes obtaining frequency resource availability information for one or more stations (STAs) that are associated with the shared AP, generating the coordinated frequency resource information based on aggregating the obtained frequency resource availability information for the one or more STAs and frequency resource availability information for the shared AP, generating a control frame that includes an aggregated control (A-control) field that includes the coordinated frequency resource availability information, and transmitting the control frame to the sharing AP.

  • Publication number: 20250133593
Abstract: An embodiment is method performed by a source node to transmit data to a destination node via a relay node. The method includes transmitting a first multi-user request-to-send (MU RTS) frame to the relay node, receiving a first clear-to-send (CTS) frame corresponding to the first MU RTS frame from the relay node, upon receiving the first CTS frame from the relay node, waiting for a first length of time that allows the relay node to transmit a second MU RTS frame to the destination node and receive a second CTS frame corresponding to the second MU RTS frame from the destination node, and after waiting for the first length of time, transmitting a data frame to the relay node that is to be relayed by the relay node to the destination node.

  • Publication number: 20250119944
Abstract: An embodiment is a method performed by a source node to transmit data to a destination node via a relay node. The method includes transmitting a control frame to the relay node to indicate that the relay node is to turn on relay functionality and transmitting a data frame to the destination node via the relay node while relay functionality of the relay node is turned on. An embodiment is a method performed by a relay node to relay data transmitted by a source node to a destination node. The method includes receiving a control frame from the source node that indicates that the relay node is to turn on relay functionality, turning on relay functionality of the relay node responsive to receiving the control frame, and relaying a data frame transmitted by the source node to the destination node while relay functionality of the relay node is turned on.

  • Publication number: 20250089093
Abstract: An embodiment is method performed by a sharing access point (AP) to initiate a non-coherent joint transmission (NCJT). The method includes transmitting a backhaul data PPDU that includes data intended for a station (STA) to a shared AP via a backhaul link and transmitting a NCJT sounding trigger frame to the shared AP via the backhaul link to cause the shared AP to participate in the NCJT, wherein the NCJT involves a plurality of APs, including the shared AP, transmitting NCJT PPDUs that include the data intended for the STA to the STA at different times.

  • Patent number: 9425876
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for feeding a channel back in a wireless communication system using multiple input multiple output antennas (MIMO) are provided. The method includes receiving a signal from a transmitter and configuring a channel matrix for the received signal, configuring a basis transformed sparse channel using a sparsifying basis function with respect to the channel matrix, selecting a channel part to be fed back to the transmitter from the transformed sparse channel, and creating a codebook by quantizing the selected channel part, and feeding a codebook index corresponding to the created codebook back to the transmitter.
