Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel includes; an array substrate including a pixel electrode disposed in a pixel area, the pixel electrode including a reflective electrode disposed in a reflective area of the pixel area and a transparent electrode disposed in a transmissive area of the pixel area, at least one of the reflective electrode and the transparent electrode including a plurality of first slit electrodes, an opposite substrate including a first common electrode disposed in alignment with the reflective area, the first common electrode including a plurality of second slit electrodes each having a width wider than that of an individual first slit electrode of the plurality of first slit electrodes, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate.

Abstract: An array substrate includes a substrate, a switching element, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. The substrate includes a plurality of gate lines, data lines insulated from the gate lines, and the data lines extend in a direction crossing the gate lines. The switching element is connected to the gate lines and data lines. The pixel electrode is arranged in a pixel area which is defined on the substrate, and is connected to an output electrode of the switching element. The common electrode corresponds to the pixel area and is insulated from the pixel electrode, and the common electrode has at least one first slit corresponding to the data line.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate having a gate line and two data lines crossing with the gate line to define a pixel, a first pixel electrode connected to the gate line and the first data line, and a second pixel electrode connected to the gate line and the second data line. A second substrate opposes the first substrate and includes a common electrode having a common electrode cutting pattern. The pixel electrode includes a pixel electrode cutting pattern to form domains and sub domains in the pixel with the common electrode cutting pattern. A liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first and second substrates. The pixel electrodes include bent portions. The pixel electrode and the common electrode include sub cutting patterns extending towards the sub domains at the bent portions.
