Abstract: Disclosed herein are an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and a control method for the same, and more particularly, an apparatus to audio-visually inform information on the actions needed to be taken by a patient at the time of an ultrasound diagnosis. In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes a storage unit at which data of actions of a patient needed to be taken at the time of an ultrasound diagnosis is stored; a processor to determine a type of an ultrasound probe or a diagnostic mode provided to perform an ultrasound diagnosis and select from the data of actions stored as the above the data of action to be taken by the patient on the basis of the type of the ultrasound probe or the diagnostic mode determined as the above; and at least one display unit to display the selected data of action to be taken by the patient.
