  • Patent number: 7555913
Abstract: A method for controlling multiple compressors for use in an airconditioner is disclosed. In the airconditioner having N compressors, the method sequentially and equally operates the N compressors using a two-dimensional matrix which prevents only a specific compressor from among the N compressors from being repeatedly operated, arranges rows and columns of the two-dimensional matrix to allow all compressors to be alternately operated according to the number of operating compressors from among all compressors, and stochastically operates and stops the N compressors using the two-dimensional matrix. As a result, the method controls the N compressors to be equally operated without overlapping operation times of the N compressors, and alleviates fatigue of the compressors, resulting in equally longer lifetimes of the N compressors.

  • Patent number: 7275382
Abstract: A cogeneration system including a generator, a drive source operating to drive the generator, and thus, to cause the generator to generate electricity, a heat pump type air conditioner including a compressor, a 4-way valve, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and an outdoor heat exchanger, a heater to heat air, which has passed around the indoor heat exchanger after completing heat exchange with the indoor heat exchanger, and a waste heat recoverer to recover waste heat of the drive source during a heating operation of the heat pump type air conditioner, and to supply the recovered waste heat to the heater. The waste heat of the drive source can be re-used to heat air passing through the indoor heat exchanger, so that the heating performance of the heat pump type air conditioner is enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20070018009
Abstract: A cogeneration system and a method for controlling the same have an advantage that it is easy to operate a cogeneration device because the operation of the cogeneration device can be controlled according to operation signals of an air conditioner, and have an effect that it is possible to make the best use of the generated electricity of the cogeneration device through an interconnection between the air conditioner and the cogeneration device.
